The Monk Sash quests take place in Freeport, in the Theatre of the Tranquil, the Monk guild. Start by visiting Velan Torresk on the second floor of the Monk guild.
Faction
The sash quests require "high amiably" faction in order to do. Sneaking only gives indifferent faction, and while wolf form grants amiably faction, it is not "high amiably".
You can check if you have the require faction by saying "what white training sash" to Velan Torresk. If your faction is insufficient, he will say "I have been watching you, and appreciate the help you've given to the brothers and sisters of the Ashen Order, but I feel that such a vital matter should be left to one of our more trusted members.". If it is sufficient, he will give you details on how to obtain the quest items.
A Human Monk starting out can instantly gain the required faction by simply turning in their newbie note. An Iksar Monk must embark on a long faction grind, which is most simply done by killing Deathfist orcs in the newbie area of Freeport, and in East/West Commonlands. Between 1800 and 2000 orc kills are required to get the necessary faction. If you wish, you can repeat the White Sash quest to gain even more faction, along with Knights of Truth and Silent Fist Clan (Qeynos Monks) faction. You can also complete a few select quests to gain faction, see Ashen Order.

- You say, 'What white training sash?'
- Velan Torresk says, 'The Sashes of Order are given out by the various trainers of our clan. I give out the [white training sash] and the [yellow Sash of Order]. and [Reyia] is in charge of the [orange and red sashes].'
- Velan Torresk says, 'The white training sash of the Ashen Order is awarded to our new members for completing a few simple tasks to prove their devotion to our clan. As you know, Freeport is a very hostile place, under constant attack from [orcs], wild beasts, and even the undead. To help keep this city and its citizens relatively safe, we must help the Militia protect the main gates. Bring me two Deathfist pawn scalps from those vile [Deathfist orcs], a snake fang, and some bone chips from a skeleton. Good luck, Soandso, represent us well!'
Turn the following items in to Velan Torresk in West Freeport:
- 2 - Deathfist Pawn Scalp - from Deathfist Pawns wandering outside the west gate of Freeport. Do not zone out to east commons, as the "orc pawns" out there drop a different type of scalp.
- 1 - Snake Fang - From the level 1 snakes also just outside the west gate of Freeport.
- 1 - Bone Chips - Any skeleton in the game can drop these. The Decaying Skeletons in west freeport do just fine.
- Velan Torresk says, 'Ah, very good. You are well on your way to earning the white sash.'
- Velan Torresk says, 'Ah, very good. You are well on your way to earning the white sash.'

Yellow Sash of Order
- You say, 'What yellow Sash of Order?'
- Velan Torresk says, 'The Sashes of Order are given out by the various trainers of our clan. I give out the [white training sash] and the [yellow Sash of Order]. and [Reyia] is in charge of the [orange and red sashes].'
- Velan Torresk says, 'To earn the yellow sash, you must prove yourself to be very skilled in the art of fighting. The lands to the west and south of Freeport are filled with dangerous beasts that often prey upon innocent travelers. Help protect our merchant caravans and traveling citizens, while at the same time practicing your defensive skills, and eliminating these deadly creatures from the surrounding landscape. Bring me a giant snake rattle, a Deathfist slashed belt, the chitin of a desert tarantula, and turn in your white training sash, and I shall reward your noble work with our yellow Sash of Order. Good luck, Soandso !'
Turn the following items in to Velan Torresk in West Freeport:
- 1 - Deathfist Slashed Belt - The Deathfist Orcs can drop these. Only Centurions and stronger orcs have a chance to give you a belt, not pawns. There are two Deathfist orc camps in east commons (along the north wall, on either side of the "Hidden Inn") where you can hunt or ask to buy one of these belts.
- 1 - Giant Snake Rattle - These drop off the tougher snakes, darkweeds and above. Darkweed snakes in East Commons are the quickest way to go. Giant Rattlesnakes in North Ro are another option. Warning: snakes have powerful poison.
- 1 - Desert Tarantula Chitin - Dune Tarantulas in North Ro are where you'll find these. Make sure you loot the right item - "cracked" chitins are not useful for the quest.
- 1 - White Training Sash - From the prior Quest
- Velan Torresk says, 'Ah, very good. You are well on your way to earning the yellow Sash of Order.'
- Velan Torresk says, 'Ah, very good. You are well on your way to earning the yellow Sash of Order.'

- Velan Torresk says, 'Ah, well done, Soandso. You have proven that you are a very skillful fighter and it is a honor to have you as a member of the Ashen Order. On behalf of Master Closk, and under the watchful eyes of Quellious, I present you, Soandso, with this, the yellow Sash of Order. Go out and make us proud.'

Orange Sash of Order
- You say, 'Hail, Reyia Beslin'
- Reyia Beslin says, 'Greetings. Soandso . I am Reyia Beslin of the Ashen Order. I help to train our members and I am in charge of handing out the orange and red Sashes of Order. Would you like to know how you can get an [orange sash]? Or maybe you think you are ready to earn the [red sash]?'
- You say, 'What orange sash?'
- Reyia Beslin says, 'To prove your skills and earn the orange Sash of Order, you must bring me the following items - a greater lightstone, a cutthroat insignia ring, a legionnaire's bracer, and, of course, your yellow sash. I will leave it to you to figure out exactly where to get these items. Good luck, Soandso .'
ATTENTION: DO NOT TURN INTO VELAN TORRESK!
Turn the following items in to Reyia Beslin in West Freeport:
- 1 - Legionnaire's Bracer - These drop off the Legionnaires of the Deathfist and Crushbone orcs. They're rather rare if you try to hunt legos in the Commonlands, the quickest way to get your bracer is to go to Crushbone (from Greater Faydark). There, they seem to drop like candy.
- 1 - Greater Lightstone - Willowisp type mobs drop these. The GLS is semi-rare, but not too hard to get if you hunt the wisps for a half hour or so. Alternatively, just send out an auction in West Commons. There are always people buying and selling lightstones there for a few plat.
- 1 - Cutthroat Insignia Ring - Any Dervish Cutthroat has a chance to drop one of these. There are three derv camps in North Ro, several in South Ro, one in West Commons.
- Yellow Sash of Order - From prior Quest

Red Sash of Order
Turn the following items in to Reyia Beslin in West Freeport:
- 1 - Blackened Sapphire ("the Sapphire of Souls") - This can be found on Ekeros in the Najena dungeon. Ekeros is a somewhat rare spawn, you can find him in the room just outside Rathyl's room. Note: a key is needed to get to Ekeros' spawn point. You can either get the key from another player, or you'll have to go after them yourself. Najena has a sequence of keys that open up deeper and deeper parts of the dungeon to you. The Ogre guards drop Guard's Keyring, the first one you'll need. BoneCracker drops another key, The Guard Captain drops a third. These are the only keys you need to get into Rathyl's area (Rathyl himself drops another key that leads you further in toward Najena's room).
- 1 - Blackened Wand - This drops from Priest Amiaz on the bottom level of Befallen. (Spawnpoint is in same room with The Thaumaturgist which is required for Monk Headband Quests)
- 1 - Orange Sash of Order
Reyia Beslin may be found at -154, -1502, -137.
You say, 'Hail, Reyia Beslin'
- Reyia Beslin says 'Greetings, ______. I am Reyia Beslin of the Ashen Order. I help to train our members and I am in charge of handing out the orange and red Sashes of Order. Would you like to know [how you can get an orange sash]? Or maybe you think you are ready to earn the [red sash]?'
You say, 'I think I am ready to earn the red sash.'
- Reyia Beslin says 'So, you think you are skilled enough to earn the red Sash of Order, ______? I have just the [task] for you then. But be warned, this will be the toughest challenge you have faced yet. There are many legends and myths of great heroes and ancient evils from all over Norrath. Here in Freeport, we get travelers from all over the world, and we get their tales as well. The point is that most of these stories are just that, stories and fairy tales. Told to amuse people and frighten children. I also thought the tales I'd heard about the [Marnek Jaull] were only legends, but now I know better.'
You say, 'What task?'
- Reyia Beslin says 'I've heard a few legends of a powerful wand that Marnek himself used to wield. This was known as the wand of the Burning Dead, and was rumored to instill its owner with mystical energies. The legends I have heard all differed on the wand's creation and powers, but the basic story was always the same. I will [tell you the legend] if you like. The task I have for you is to bring me the two parts that make up the wand of the Burning Dead, before they can be assembled and used for evil once again. Bring me [Marnek's wand] and the [Sapphire of Souls], along with your orange sash, and you will have proven yourself a loyal member of the Ashen Order, worthy of receiving the red sash.'
You say, 'Who is Marnek Jauli?'
- Reyia Beslin says 'Marnek Jaull led a cult of necromancers who followed the Burning Prince, Solusek Ro. He built an army, known as the Burning Dead, and spread destruction and fire throughout Antonica. Over the years, the Burning Dead fought many fierce and bloody battles with the paladins of Prexus, the Oceanlord. Though Marnek achieved many victories over the paladins, ultimately they were able to defeat him and destroy the Burning Dead. Legends say that before his defeat, Marnek created many powerful weapons and items, and wrote many books on his findings in the areas of magic. Many of these items were hidden away from the paladin forces, and remain untouched, waiting for Marnek's return, as the legends go.'
You say, 'What is Marnek's wand?'
- Reyia Beslin says 'Marnek's wand is rumored to be found in the depths of Befallen. Those who currently hold Befallen are said to be new followers of the Burning Dead. Probably believing that they may one day be able to awaken the evil Marnek again. This group must be stopped, and these evil items destroyed, before their wicked armies grow powerful enough to leave their horrible dungeon and spread throughout Antonica.'
You say, 'What is the Sapphire of Souls?'
- Reyia Beslin says 'The Sapphire of Souls is rumored to be held by a thief in Najena. No one knows how this guy obtained the sapphire, but we believe he is trying to strike a bargain with those who are currently holding Befallen. Apparently, we aren't the only ones who know of the wand's powers, and this thief thinks he can make a profit from it. Sadly, his greed will surely lead to his death.'
You say, 'Tell me the legend.'
- Reyia Beslin says 'The legend of the wand of the Burning Dead goes basically like this, though you may hear slighty different versions from others. Marnek did a lot of experiments and created an unknown number of diabolical artifacts and weapons. One of his creations was this wand. Marnek fashioned a charred wand from the scorched bone of a paladin of Prexus, and Solusek Ro himself created the wretched Sapphire of Souls. Then, Marnek and his priests combined these, with the Burning Prince's blessing, to create the wand of the Burning Dead. Marnek used this Wand and its powers in his evil and destructive reign over Antonica. Years later, as Marnek starting losing battles to the paladins of Prexus, one of his own followers, a necromancer named Kenox, was able to steal the wand. Sensing Marnek's defeat, Kenox made his way toward Odus, hoping to strike a deal with the paladins for the wand. Would you like me to [tell you about Kenox]?'
You say, 'I would like you to tell me about Kenox.'
- Reyia Beslin says 'Well, Kenox was not as sly as he liked to think he was. Marnek knew full well what he was up to, but let him continue with his plans. Kenox had arranged to meet with two paladins late one nght on a small island in Erud's Crossing, a place that would be considered neutral ground. Sir Toran Neshal, leader of the paladins, knowing the power of the wand, was certainly not going to make any deals with a servant of Solusek Ro, and definitely not foolish enough to take any chances with this mission. Imagine the look on Kenox's face when a ship carrying more than 25 paladins, including Sir Toran, arrived at the small island! The paladins immediately captured Kenox and the wand, and headed back to Erudin. Would like me to [tell you what happened to Toran]?'
You say, 'Tell me what happened to Toran.'
- Reyia Beslin says 'Below the deck of the ship, Toran and his men questioned Kenox and carefully inspected the wand. Toran ordered one of his men to pick up the wand and try to identify its true powers. The man picked up the wand, but was unable to decipher its magic. He handed it to Toran, just as Marnek and Solusek had hoped, and the wand exploded, instantly incinerating the ship and everyone aboard, and lighting up the night sky with a giant fireball. Marnek's plan had succeeded. With the help and blessing of the Burning Prince, they had destroyed Sir Toran and an entire squad of Prexus' finest paladins. Years later, though, the paladins were able to regroup and ultimately defeat Marnek. The wand of the Burning Dead was destroyed and gone forever. Or least, that's what we thought. This wand must never be allowed to be made whole again.'
Marnek's wand is the Blackened Wand (identifies as "Marnek's Wand"), dropped by Priest Amiaz in Befallen (-487.77, 89.39, -76.61). The Sapphire of Souls is the Blackened Sapphire (identifies as "Sapphire of Souls"), dropped by Ekeros in Najena (-161, -47, -22). Bring them back along with your Orange Sash of Order. You'll need to be at least kindly faction to Ashen Order to finish the quest.
- Reyia Beslin says 'Great job, ______! Congratulations. With the destruction of these evil items, the wand of the Burning Dead will never bring harm to anyone on Norrath again. It is my honor to present to you, on behalf of Master Closk and the Ashen Order, the red sash. May Quellious be with you always.'
You receive the Red Sash of Order
Purple, Blue and Black Sashes of Order
These items are not the result of any quests. They drop from Monk Guildmasters in Freeport. The Red Sash is the highest sash you need to obtain for the Robe of the Lost Circle.

Turn these in to Phin Esrinap in the Silent Fist Clan House in Qeynos.
- 4x Gnoll Pup Scalps - gnoll pups can be found outside the Qeynos gates, the top level of Blackburrow, and patroling the Everfrost canyons. Everfrost is easiest: every wolf, bear, skeleton, and spider CAN respawn as a gnoll pup. Also check the vendors inside Halas, who often have them for sale.

Turn these in to Phin Esrinap in the Silent Fist Clan House in Qeynos.
- 3x Putrid Rib Bones - from a putrid skeleton at the haunted ruins in Qeynos Hills (4664, -968) between Blackburrow and Surefall Glade. Each a dread corpse is a placeholder for a putrid skeleton. There is also a putrid skeleton that spawns at (2088,-848), then wanders around, with respawn timer of 6 min 40 sec.
- 1 White Headband - From Prior Quest
- Phin Esrinap says 'Ahh.. Good. I feel that your hard work and training will soon be rewarded.. and the yellow headband shall soon be yours.'

Orange Headband
You say, 'What Orange Headband?'
- Phin Esrinap says, 'This is a difficult award to obtain. The city of Qeynos is, as you know, under constant attack by the gnolls of Blackburrow. The Silent Fist Clan rewards its members who venture deep into this gnoll stronghold and bring swift justice to these vile creatures. Please return two Blackburrow gnoll pelts - make sure they aren't ruined - and a Blackburrow gnoll skin as proof of your noble actions. Also, turn in your [yellow headband], and then I shall give you the orange one. Good luck.'
Turn these in to Phin Esrinap in the Silent Fist Clan House in Qeynos.
- 2x Blackburrow Gnoll Pelts - In the second level of Blackburrow you'll find elite guards, commanders, guardsmen, etc. Most of these gnolls have a chance to drop a pelt. Make sure you don't keep any ruined pelts, as they are useless to this quest.
- 1 Blackburrow Gnoll Skin - These will sometimes drop off elite guards and commanders in Blackburrow. Fairly rare drop, I had to slaughter several spawn points of these types for about an hour before I saw one. The Gnoll Brewer also drops the skin, and has various spawn points.
- 1 Yellow Headband - From prior Quest
- Phin Esrinap says 'Good work, Soandso. You are well on your way toward earning the orange headband.'

Red Headband
- You say, 'Hail, Togahn Sorast'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'Greetings.. I am Second Master Togahn Sorast. I am here to teach the ways of our guild. For our more advanced members, I will give out [headbands] as a reward for their contribution to the clan.'
You say, 'What headbands?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'The Silent Fist Clan gives out colored Headbands for various deeds completed by our students. [Phin] gives out the [White, Yellow, and Orange Headbands].. and I give out the [Red, Purple, and Blue Headbands].'
You say, 'What Red Headband?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'Ah, you think you are skilled enough to earn the red headband of the Silent Fist Clan, Soandso ? Hmmm.. Well, if you can help us find [Brother Dareb], you would certainly deserve the honor of wearing the red headband.'
You say, 'Who is Brother Dareb?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'Yes, brother Dareb was last heard from over two weeks ago. He was out in the Plains of South Karana, and then just disappeared. We fear that those vile gnolls fleeing Splitpaw may have captured him or worse. We sent brother Shen to go search the Karanas and look for Dareb over three days ago, but haven't heard from him, either. I fear the worst for both of them, especially if the [Splitpaws] are involved. Please, Soandso , find and return our lost brothers to us. If they are not alive, bring back their remains so we may give them a proper burial.. and, if it is that evil [Ghanex Drah]'s doing, bring me his head as well, for the honor of the clan. You do this for us, Soandso , and turn in your orange headband, and I will reward you with the red headband of the Silent Fist. Good luck.'
You say, 'Who are the Splitpaws?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'The Splitpaws were a large clan of gnolls that lived in a burrow out in South Karana, They have recently been ousted from their home by a new clan of gnolls that are very powerful. We try to stay away from them if we can, for we do not know much about this new breed. The Splitpaws are on the move and now is the only time to strike. If we wait too long, there will be no way to find our brother. Go now my friend, we haven't much time.'
You say, 'Who is Ghanex Drah?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'Ghanex Drah is ruler of the now fleeing gnolls of Splitpaw. I've heard rumors that he has been dabbling in the dark art of necromancy. Ghanex is looking for more test subjects, no doubt to rebuild his stronghold. The good people of Antonica must put an end to his evil reign soon, or I fear he could grow much more powerful.'
Turn these in to TOGAHN SORAST in the Silent Fist Clan House in Qeynos.
- Dareb's Skull - Dropped from High Shaman Phido in Southern Karana.
- Head of Shen - Dropped from High Shaman Grisok in Southern Karana.
- Head of Ghanex Drah - Dropped from Ghanex Drah at undead camp in Southern Karana.
- Orange Headband - From prior Quest
REMINDER : To Togahn Sorast
- Togahn Sorast says, 'We are deeply honored to have such great warrior as part of our Clan. With a proper burial, Shen and Dareb's souls will finally be at peace, and with the death of that vile Ghanex, the plains will be much safer for travelers. It is a great honor to present you, Soandso, with the red headband of the Silent Fist Clan.'

Purple Headband
You say, 'What Purple Headband?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'Ah, you think you are now skilled enough to deserve the purple headband of the Silent Fist Clan? Very well, Soandso, I have a task for you that will prove whether or not you are worthy of this honor. I have heard recent rumors of ancient evils surfacing once again throughout Antonica. These evil groups have discovered some items that are giving them mystical and dangerous powers. These items must be destroyed, or else the evils of Norrath may gain control of the world's future. Bring me these [evil items], and turn in your red headband, and you will have proven yourself a mighty spirit and dedicated member of the Silent Fist.'
You say, 'What evil items?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'These evil creations have been found all over Antonica, and no one knows, or at least no one admits to knowing, where exactly they were found, but we do know that they are currently in the wrong hands and must be destroyed. Please, Soandso, seek out the [Skull of Jhen'Tra], the [Dagger of Marnek], and the [Coronet of Buried Blood], and bring them to me.'
You say, 'What is the Skull of Jhen'Tra?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'I don't know much about the Skull of Jhen'Tra. I've heard that it has resurfaced in the gnoll burial grounds of Lake Rathetear. Apparently, this skull is helping to give these gnolls the power to raise an undead army of their fallen ancestors. This evil must be stopped before their army becomes too powerful.'
You say, 'What is the Dagger of Marnek?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'The Dagger of Marnek is a diabolical weapon created by the ancient necromancer Marnek Jaull. Marnek was the leader of a small cult of necromancers who worshipped Solusek Ro. Marnek used this dagger in his ceremonial sacrifices to the Burning Prince, to increase his own power and show his loyalty to his god. His cult grew stronger and word of the evil acts spread all over Antonica. Legend has it that a group of paladins from Erudin, followers of Prexus, spent over 10 years searching out Marnek and his followers, and finally destroyed them. Though Marnek's evil reign was put to an end, many of his books and items are still being uncovered to this day. The Dagger of Marnek is now being used by the evil inhabitants who control the depths of Befallen. Bring this dagger to me, so that we may dispose of it and banish its evil powers forever.'
You say, 'What is the Coronet of Buried Blood?'
- Togahn Sorast says, 'The Coronet of Buried Blood is an ancient headdress which is said to have belonged to the High Priest of the Plexant Temple. The Plexant were known to be devout followers of Innoruuk and the coronet is supposed to have been blessed by the Prince of Hate himself. Apparently, the coronet is now in the hands of a clan of goblins that dwell in the caverns of Permafrost.'
Turn these in to TOGAHN SORAST in the Silent Fist Clan House in Qeynos.
- Skull of Jhen`Tra - Drops from a gnoll embalmer in Lake Rathetear.
- Dagger of Marnek - Drops from the thaumaturgist in the third level of Befallen. (She is next to the spawn point for Priest Amiaz which is needed for Monk Sash Quests)
- Zaharn's Coronet - The "Coronet of Buried Blood" which drops from High Priest Zaharn in the Permafrost throne room.
- Red Headband - From prior Quest
Blue and Black Headband
These items are not the result of any quests. They drop from Monk Guildmasters in Qeynos. The Purple Headband is the highest headband you need to obtain for the Robe of the Lost Circle.
Faction
These turn ins require high amiably faction to turn in. Since all of the items are tradeable, the turn ins can be done on a new monk. If you want to do the turn ins on an Iksar monk, it will require approximately 1600 gnoll kills (see http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225190).

Shackle Quest No. 0 (Dust)
As you enter the Court of Pain, Grand Master Glox, sits in mediation. Without even looking up, he addresses you. 'The time has come for discipline. Read the note in your inventory and then hand it to me to begin your training.'
Newbie iksar monks start out with a Guild Summons in their inventory, which reads:
This Broodling has reached the Age of Rebirth. The Broodling is called forth to Cabilis to begin training in the art of fist and tail. Within the walls of the Court of Pain shall I wait. This summons shall be presented to me upon arrival. Discipline awaits.
Grand Master Glox The Swifttail Cast
Give the summons to Grand Master Glox.
- Grand Master Glox breaks his meditation and quickly grabs your forearms. You feel the raw power in his heavily callused hands. Out of nowhere, his tail sweeps forward and places a small shackle upon your wrist. He then points southward towards Master Bain and returns to his meditation.

Walkthrough
This is the second Monk Shackle quest. Master Raska is located at approximately 390.29, 113.16 in the Cabilis Monk Guild (The Court of Pain). After completing the previous Shackle quest (Shackle of Clay), Raska mentions the Shackle of Stone...
You say, 'Tell me about the shackle of stone'

Details
After completing the quest for your Shackle of Stone, Master Raska mentioned that you need to see Master Niska, who may be found at 456, 32 in the Court of Pain.
You say, 'Hail, Master Niska'
- Master Niska bows with elegance and grace. You can see her arms rippling with muscles. 'Greetings. We are the Swifttails. We are the harnessers of the elements. We are the tails of discipline. To achieve rebirth into our caste is a great honor indeed. We can be identified by our adornments. You should display that which we have given you to adorn your arms with pride. You do have your bracer, correct?'
You say, 'I want the Shackle of Rock.'
- Master Niska strikes within inches of your snout with amazing speed. 'The shackle of rock is your interest? Then learn well our ways and prepare yourself. If the stone embraces your wrist, you are ready indeed. To complete the second rung you must find for me the [Fists of Talon].'
You say, 'What are the Fists of Talon?'
- Master Niska points to the Court Chronicler. 'All that is known of Talon has been chronicled. Should you obtain the fists then you shall hand them to me. This shall earn you the shackle of rock.'
- Purchase the book named Talon Southpaw (identifies as "Scribed by Rinmark") from the Court Chronicler nearby at 363, 48, across the courtyard from Master Niska. It reads:
Talon Southpaw Talon Southpaw was the fastest pugilist ever to walk within the Court of Pain. His speed rivaled that of the great Grandmaster Tynn. He could often be found within the local taverns demonstrating the awesome speed of his left fist. Talon Southpaw came to rebirth within this caste. Although quick with fist and tail, the speed of his left arm was not to come to blossom for a couple of decades past his rebirth. It was to follow his captivity by the accursed sarnak. Soon after fulfilling the Rung of Tynn, Talon went on a wandering retreat into the dangerous outlands of Kunark. He was not heard from for a total of 5 seasons. Upon his return to Cabilis he told of his captivity within an ancient city of the Iksar now claimed by the sarnak. He told of intense torture. He survived the ordeal. He escaped from the claws of the sarnak with numerous scars which proved his painful ordeal. Most of the worst scars were never seen. Talon wore a robe which he never removed. The scars underneath were for no lizard's eyes. His great perseverance gave him an inner strength no other monk could lay claim to. He now possessed incredible, almost blinding speed with his left arm. He could trap a foe's arm with his left and strike with it as if he had a third arm! He was indeed a paragon of the Swifttails. All in the empire either respected or feared him. None would spar him outside of the taverns. With grog comes stupidity. Upon his death in Kurn, Grandmaster Tynn removed his hands in a private ceremony. Only Tynn was allowed to gaze upon Talon's body. The fists were then sealed in a canopic which would stay within the Tower of Kurn. His body was dusted. This is his tale as told by Rinmark.
Klok Poklon may be found at Tink n' Babble +910, -70, on the first floor of the house near the castle.
You say, 'Hail, Klok Poklon'
- Klok Poklon says 'Greetings, thirsty traveler. Pull up a stool and lay yer copper down. It's time to drink and be merry. Just don't get too merry or I will have to call the troopers.'
You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'
- Klok Poklon feints with two quick left hooks!! 'Talon Southpaw. He had the fastest hands in the empire. I remember he once beat another lizard in an arm wrestling match. The amazing thing was, while he was gripping the croak's left hand, he left-hooked him without losing his hold!! That's quick!! I hear one of his treasured hands is in the possession of a monk called Master Rinmark.'
Master Bain resides in the Court of Pain at 293, -49.
You say, 'Where is Master Rinmark?'
- Master Bain says 'Seeking Master Rinmark? He has left the Court of Pain. Gone to focus his thoughts on the elements of wind and thunder. I believe he was headed toward the Overthere. That was the last I heard of his trek.'
- Find an Iksar master in the Timorous Deep at -5055, +2790.
You say, 'Hail, an Iksar master'
- an Iksar master is humming and chanting softly. He seems oblivious to your presence.
You say, 'Are you Master Rinmark?'
- an Iksar master squints one eye open, then returns to his meditation.
You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'
- an Iksar master waves his arms in the air. 'The great master. His soul is the wind. He speaks to us in words of thunder. He strikes Norrath with bolts of lightning. I seek to be as he is. I have traveled the globe in search of his fists. I have found only one. Another is said to be with [Gomoz]. I shall return it when I am finished with my seasons-long meditation or perhaps I shall find a monk to [return the hand to Cabilis].'
You say, 'Who is Gomoz?'
- an Iksar master says 'Disciple Gomoz was once Talon Southpaw's pupil. It is rumored that he has only one hand. Unfortunately, a horde of ogre raiders swiped his bones, along with others, from their place in Kurn's Tower. What those simple oafs plan to do with them is a mystery. Only one who has studied the arcane sciences could use them. They most likely used them as soup bones.'
You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'
- an Iksar master hands you an old tattered sack. 'This shall be your proof of allegiance. Prove that you are strong with an intact mandible of a skulking brutling and the claws of a burynai excavator. Prove that you are a monk of fist and tail with a sash of an exiled human monk and the sparring gloves of a goblin pit fighter. Combined, these items make the sack full. This will earn my trust and the hand.'
You receive a Tattered Sack from Rinmark from Rinmark, a 4-slot container.
Acquire Excavator Claws (identifies as "Burynai Excavator Claws," dropped by various burynai in Kurn's Tower), Intact Brutling Choppers (dropped by a skulking brutling in Warsliks Woods), Torn Sash (identifies as "Exiled Monk Sash," dropped by a young ronin in Oasis), and Goblin Sparring Gloves (dropped by a goblin pit fighter in Warsliks Woods).
Combine them to create a Full Sack for Master (identifies as "property of Rinmark"). Hand this in to An Iksar master.
- an Iksar master bows before you and takes a wrinkled, mummified hand from a pouch at his side. 'Take the hand. Let it rest within Cabilis and be reunited with the left.'
- Your faction standing with SwiftTails got better.
- Your faction standing with LegionofCabilis got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive Iksar Right Hand ('=|-') Item Lore (from Identify): Right Hand of Talon Southpaw
- Find The Great Oowomp elsewhere in the Timorous Deep at +5725, +3120.
You say, 'Hail, The Great Oowomp'
- The Great Oowomp gestures as if casting a powerful spell. 'Come forward, adventurer! Come and [see the dancing skeleton]. I shall cast a powerful spell and bring forth this operatic, clattering jumble of bones and he shall do a fine dance for you. From the nether regions and planes beyond, I call forth this bardic, magical, rhyming, tap-dancing hunk of undead!! I am Oowomp the Great!!'
You say, 'I want to see the dancing skeleton.'
- The Great Oowomp says 'Oh!! You wish to see the great Oowomp perform his magic!! I have studied with the grand mages and wise [McMerin clan] of Norrath, as my speech implies. I can call forth the skeleton with but a twinkling of my power and five of your gold.'
- Give him 5 gold pieces (or any equivalent money).
- The Great Oowomp flings the coins into the air and they all fall neatly into his oversized coin pouch. 'Gaze in awe at my awesome powers of the arcane!! You, a simple citizen, shall see my power. Allakabam!!'
You say, 'Hail, a dancing skeleton'
- a dancing skeleton begins to dance with a loud clatter. A cloud of dust is created. Teedle dee. Teedle doo.
- a dancing skeleton says 'A dancing skeleton am I.'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Dancing for you and dancing for me.'
You say, 'Are you Gomoz?'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Gomoz!! Why, that is me! I was heading off to be with the elements when I was captured by this smelly ogre. Actually, he is not as smelly as most.'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Dancing for the great Oowomp!! Wheee!!'
You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Master Talon Southpaw!! He was my master. Dead, he became. Off to the elements. I keep his special hand with me. Perhaps I should have it returned. Maybe I shall find a young adventurer to [return the hand to Cabilis].'
You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Yes!! Return the hand. Here it is. Missing four it is. Within the tower of past pain and torture is where the four lie. Taken by bones similar to myself.'
- a dancing skeleton says 'Dancing and singing is my life!!'
You receive a Hand With Only a Thumb Item Lore (from Identify): Palm of Talon Southpaw

You say, 'what troubles with an outlander'.

We were asked by the Baron to find this proof. We shall do this. You shall provide me with the outlanders head and the shackles of Rock and Stone!!"

Shackle Quest No. 6 (Steel)
Checklist
- Obtain a Shackle of Copper
- Obtain a Shackle of Bronze
- Talk to an Iksar master "Rinmark" (to receive Part of a Large Key)
- Obtain a Nickel Key from a coerced penkeeper in Dalnir
- Obtain a Copper Key from a goblin interrogator in Droga Jail area
- Combine a Nickel and Copper key inside Large Key Part (to craft Coppernickel Key)
- OPTIONAL Obtain A Bronze Key from a goblin penkeeper to gain access to slave cell, Note if you walk into the cell doors near the hinge side of the door you can clip through even as an iksar 5/28/2020
- Turn in Coppernickle Key, Copper Shackle, and Bronze Shackle to an iksar slave "Veltar" (to receive Shackle of Steel)
Walkthrough
After finishing the shackle of bronze quest, Master Rinmark asks you to help him rescue a student of his.
You say, 'Where is your student?'
- an Iksar master hands you what appears to be the base of a key. 'This was delivered to me by a dying student. He collapsed just after handing it to me. He was accompanying a student of mine named Veltar. They were questing for the legendary Whistling Fists. The key is made of a metal I have never felt or heard of. Find him.'
You receive Part of a Large Key, a 2-slot container. Item Lore (from Identify): Base of Coppernickel Key
You say, 'what legendary whistling fists?'
- an Iksar master says,'The Whistling Fists are rumored to be magical instruments of destruction which can only be wielded by monks. The founder, Supreme Master Tynn, was the only lizard to ever gaze upon the weapon. He only spoke of it to his student Mathor. Marthor rarely spoke of it and when he did it was usually after a few flagons of Trog Brew. That is why many consider it to be babble.
Then you need to find "Veltar". "Veltar" (an iksar slave) can be found in the Temple of Droga (in the Jail). Veltar's placeholder is a KOS a crazed iksar slave (not on Cabilis faction). "an enslaved Iksar" is not the PH, and will reduce Cabilis faction.
You say, 'Hail, an Iksar slave'
- an Iksar slave seems to have lost all hope. He sadly looks to the ground. His shackles are different than the others you see in this cell. One is definitely steel and not of goblin design. The other is made of an unfamiliar metal.
You say, 'Are you Veltar?'
- an Iksar slave 's soiled face shines with a glint of hope. 'You know my name? Who has [sent] you to find me?'
You say, 'Master Rinmark sent me'
- an Iksar slave says 'Then word has gotten to him!! If you be a monk of the third rung I will accept your aid. You must find the [coppernickel key]. It is required to release me from this goblin shackle. I have no reward to offer other than the shackle of steel. Give me both your shackles of the third rung along with the key and I shall reward you the first shackle of the fourth rung.'
You say, 'Where is the coppernickel key?'
- an Iksar slave says 'The key is split into three parts. Part one is the base and must be combined with the two remainder pieces. One piece is in here and the other was lost. I overheard the goblins chattering and recognized the goblin phrase, 'lair of flying mouths'!! As for the base, I do not know.'
You now need to collect and combine the three pieces of the coppernickel key.
- You already have the base, which you received from Master Rinmark.
- The second piece is a Copper Key, dropped by the a goblin interrogator in the same jail area as the iksar slave.
Item Lore (from Identify): Coppernickel Key "I.."
- The "lair of flying mouths" is a reference to Dalnir. A Nickel Key is dropped by a coerced penkeeper on the third level.
Item Lore (from Identify): Coppernickel Key "..I"
Combine the nickel and copper keys inside the base. This results in Coppernickel Key Item Lore (from Identify): Coppernickel Key "..II.."
Give Veltar the Coppernickel Key, and your Bronze and Copper Shackles.
- Note: 'a iksar slave' and 'a crazed iksar slave' are different NPC's and the crazed one is KOS and will eat your items, de-pop and pop happens at 6am and 8pm game time. Make sure you hail the NPC first and get a reaction from him, there's also a slave with a shovel who doesn't respond and will eat your items. There is also a report of an unarmed an iksar slave (no faction hits on death) that is also unresponsive and will also eat your items (09/30/2019). Suggested action is to keep turning over spawns until you have a responsive 'an iksar slave'.
- an Iksar slave says 'I made a pact to reward the shackle of steel to one who could deliver the coppernickel key and the shackles of copper and bronze.'
- an Iksar slave says 'I made a pact to reward the shackle of steel to one who could deliver the coppernickel key and the shackles of copper and bronze.'
- an Iksar slave hands you a shackle and removes the coppernickel shackle so he may flee. He places your shackles on his wrists and darts into the darkness.
You gain experience!!

Walkthrough
Master Bain can be found at the Swift Tails guild hall in East Cabilis (285, -51).
You say, 'Hail, Master Bain'
- Master Bain says, 'Who has [sent] you to me?'
You say, 'Grand Master Glox has sent me'
- Master Bain says, 'Then I can offer training in the martial arts as well as other skills. Please remember to obtain knowledge from our court chronicler. You shall also begin to aid your brothers and sisters with [menial tasks]. All begin upon the rung of dust and all have done these tasks in order to climb to the next rung.'
You say, 'What menial tasks?'
- Master Bain says, 'We have a few menial tasks we require our young members to perform. Young members must [tailor training bags] for our court.'
You say, 'I will tailor training bags'
- Master Bain says, 'Then take this leech husk pouch and fill it with the obvious. Once done, combine the skins and take the full leech husk pouch to a local tailor by the name of Klok Murgruk. He is the one who cleans and toughens the husks for us. He shall hand you a ready-made training bag husk. He will instruct you further.'
You receive a Leech Husk Pouch.
Proceed to hunt the various leeches near the city gate in Swamp of No Hope. Once you obtain 4 Leech Husks, combine them in the pouch and take the Full Pouch of Leech Husks to a local tailor by the name of Klok Mugruk at (386, -215) in East Cabilis.
Hand in the Full Pouch to Mugruk:
- Klok Mugruk says, 'I see you have done some hunting, young broodling. I shall prepare these husks later, as for now you can have this training bag husk I have already prepared. You will require a sewing kit, but I am sure you already have one. You will next have to seek out granite pebbles. Where you shall find them in Cabilis is unknown to me. When you obtain no less than three piles of granite pebbles then you can tailor a monk training bag for your caste. Good luck!'
- Your faction standing with Cabilis Residents got better.
- Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive a Training Bag Husk.
To acquire the three Pile of Granite Pebbles requested, you must complete the Granite Pebbles quest three times which involves killing An escaped froglok for Busted Froglok Slave Shackles and turning two into The Toilmaster.
When you tailor the Training Bag Husk and the 3 Piles of Granite Pebbles together (failure possible, trivial at 1 tailoring), you get a Monk Training Bag. It is advisable to skill up tailoring for this quest given the time invested in farming Granite Pebbles. Buy 1 point of Tailoring skill at the monk trainer or skill up by combining spider(ling) silks into swatches (or threads).
Hand the Monk Training Bag back to Master Bain, and he will reward you with a random piece of Sparring Armor.
- Master Bain says, 'We thank you, young monk. In exchange for your prompt service, please accept this piece of training armor. Please continue with your training.'
- Your faction standing with Swift Tails got better.
- Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 1 gold piece.
Notes
- Can be done with sneak (indifferent faction)
- Generally, the sparring armor has the same AC stats as Curscale Armor, with a few stat bonuses thrown in.

- Book Conversion (Dealing with Kaiaren):
- SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT: If you are doing/receiving an MQ or you do not have your Demon Fangs in hand and ready, do NOT turn in Celestial Fists (book) to Sane Kaiaran and receive Book of Celestial Fists because Sane Kaiaren will despawn within 30 minutes (confirmed 9/30/17). If you lose Celestial Fists (book) you can no longer spawn Sane Kaiaren for the final epic turn in and will have to either 1) wait for another monk to spawn Sane Kaiaren or 2) petition for reimbursement and wait a month or more for Sirken's response.
- Give Celestial Fists (book) to mad Kaiaren at the ruins near Sebilis in Trakanon's Teeth and he hands you back the book, then he punches you in the face - you can either kill him or feign off the aggro.
- Go to sane Kaiaren, who spawns over by the lake in TT (p305, p2470 in an empty hut) after you hand in Celestial Fists (book) to mad Kaiaren.
- Hand Celestial Fists (book) to sane Kaiaren and he hands you back a slightly different book called Book of Celestial Fists.
- Final Turn-in
- Turn in the modified Book of Celestial Fists and Demon Fangs to sane Kaiaren to receive the monk epic, Celestial Fists.
IMPORTANT: Turning your final pieces in to mad Kaiaren instead of sane Kaiaren will cause your items to be lost.
Long Walkthrough with dialogue
The Books
Tomekeeper Danl can be found on the second floor of the library (the three story building in the center of Erudin's courtyard nearest Tox forest.
You say, 'Hail Tomekeeper Danl'
Tomekeeper Danl says 'Good day, citizen. Please remember to keep your voice down in our library. Feel free to browse the extensive collection of books we have on display. Learning is all about you and our library is the greatest collection of educational literature in the world, as you can no doubt see. However, there are a few books we do not own and we are prepared to pay well to acquire [rare finds].
You say, 'What rare finds?'
Tomekeeper Danl says 'Yes, any rare books, tomes, essays, or other literature you find may be of interested to me. Although the finds I am interested in are quite high profile and would most likely only be found in the possession of very powerful or influential beings. Give me what you have found and I will pay you what it is worth to us.
The book he requires is called Immortals, which can be found on various named mobs in Skyfire (Guardian of Felia, A Lava Walker, A Wandering Wurm, Black Scar).
Give Tomekeeper Danl the book of Immortals and get this response:
Tomekeeper Danl gasps at the sight of the rare book and says, 'This is a great find indeed! I can only imagine who you had to.. persuade to give you the book. Our library would be very interested in acquiring this and I am prepared to give you this platinum and a referral that marks you as a friend of the library. If only [Lheao] could see this.'
You say, 'Who is Lheao?'
Tomekeeper Danl says 'Lheao was my predecessor here at the Library of Erudin. He has since retired, just a few years ago. I'm sure he would be most impressed with your find and offer insightful conversation on the subject. Although I'm not sure one of your profession would be interested in such a scholarly endeavor, no offense. If you are interested, find him and tell him you found the book 'Immortals.' I'm not sure where he has retired to, but I hear it is near an ocean somewhere.
He gives you a piece of paper called Danl's Reference.
Before continuing on, you will need to complete the following quests in this order:
- Monk Sash Quests to obtain Red Sash of Order
- Monk Headband Quests to obtain Purple Headband
- Monks of The Whistling Fist to obtain Robe of the Lost Circle
- The Lost Circle to obtain Robe of the Whistling Fists, which is required in the next part of the monk epic
Next, head to the hidden oasis in Timorous Deep. Once there, speak to Lheao.
You say, 'Hail Lhaeo'
Lheao jumps at your voice and begins laughing at his skittishness. He says, 'Ahh, hello there. Not many people know of this place, so visitors are quite rare. Hehehe. It's a very beautiful place indeed, so, ummm, please don't go telling everyone you know about it. Heheh. Thanks, friend.'
You say, 'I have found the book Immortals'
Lheao looks up at you, eyes wide in astonishment, and says, 'My god, you found 'Immortals'?! Where did you find it? Never mind, that is unimportant. I have in my possession a book that explains more about these individuals. Its value is unimaginable as well as the impact it is capable of. As you can see, I grow old. I need an individual to watch over this book and make sure it is protected. Would you be willing to [take this responsibility]?'
You say, 'I will take this responsibility'
Lheao says 'I'm sorry, but I could only give this book to a true master, such as a member of the Whistling Fists Order. And unless you can give me proof that you are one, in addition to Danl's reference, which is very unlikely, there is no way I'll let you take charge of [the Celestial Fists].
You say, 'What Celestial Fists?'
Lheao says 'The Celestial Fists is the title of a book written by an unknown author. His writing is sub par but the legend is interesting from a biographical standpoint alone. Its rarity commands top dollar in the scholarly community but the secrets revealed in the book are what truly makes it dangerous. I've thought many times to destroy it but just couldn't. I hope I'm able to find someone to watch over it soon.
Hand in Robe of the Whistling Fists and Danl's Reference to get this response:
Lheao says 'Astonishing! To think that you are a master of an order thought to be lost to our world. Forgive my earlier doubts. I believe you are indeed worthy to be given the responsibility of watching over this book. Take great care that it does not fall into the wrong hands as it would be truly disastrous.
The Celestial Fists Book is illegible.
The next section for the book requires you to go to Trakanon's Teeth and find an NPC named Kaiaren. [You should wait on doing this part until you have defeated Eejag, Gwan, Trunt, Vorash, Deep and Xenovorash, because you want to spawn Sane Kaiaren when (and ONLY when) you are ready for the final turn in - otherwise he will despawn after several hours, and turning the items in to Mad Kaiaren will lead to your items being eaten.] He is located at Loc -1609, -2679, in the undead ruins.
You say, 'Hail Kaiaren'
- Kaiaren says, "AHHH get it away from me go away .. leave me alone".
You say, 'What Celestial Fists?'
- Kaiaren says 'Eh? What's that? Bah! That was destroyed long ago. Don't waste my time with fairy taAAAAAGGHHH GET IT AWAY!!!! HELP!!! They're all over MEHEHEHEHEEEEEEee!!
Hand Celestial Fists (book) to Kaiaren, you will get the Celestial Fists (book) back and get this response:
- Kaiaren's eyes open wide and he attacks you!
If you kill him, you'll get the response:
- 'Not bad.. Now lets see if you can find my trueform if you do we discuss this further.'
However it is not necessary to kill him. You can just Feign Death to eliminate his aggro.
Now go out and find Kaiaren's true form, which spawned when you gave the book to the angry form. This version is also called Kaiaren, and spawns at approximately +300, +2400 in a building next to the lake. He is indifferent to all.
Hand Kaiaren the book. (NOTE: The book you handed in was called Celestial Fists (book). The book you get back is called Book of Celestial Fists. Do NOT hand this book in yet, as he will also be expecting an item you have not yet obtained).
When you hand him the book, he says the following:
- Kaiaren says 'Now, then. Where did you find this, monk? This is not just some light reading to be borrowed from the town library. Who gave this to you?
You say, 'I got it from Lheao'
- Kaiaren says 'Hmmm, never heard of him. Well, it doesn't matter, the book is here now. Curse that idiot for writing it in the first place. Not even sure why I let him stick around. If you ever see that clown monk Aradiel kick him in the shins for me! At any rate, I suppose you'd like to find the Fists and [have a nice chat with them], eh? Their master owes me much. I would reward you well if you were to bring me proof of the master's defeat'
You say, 'I would like to have a nice chat with them'
- Kaiaren says 'Yes, I suppose you would. All you children looking for fame and glory will eventually learn the poison of ambition. But how will you find them? They are able to meld with their elements seamlessly and they certainly have no interest in fooling with the likes of you. No, you will need to get their attention. Fortunately, I know [how you can do this].
You say, 'How can I do this?'
- Kaiaren says, 'My guess is that the weakest of the Fists will be the easiest to draw out. He is egotistical and arrogant. How he came to master the Discipline of Fire, I do not know. He will most likely be in another form, one of his element. When you find the one you believe to be the Fist, you must challenge him. If you use his true name, Eejag, in your formal challenge, he will respond. A flame can burn intensely but it cannot last for long. Know this when you battle him.
Eejag
At this point, head on over to the Lavastorm Mountains with a group and find an imp named "A Fire Sprite" and say "I challenge Eejag." There will be a shout to the zone (if no shout, it means Eejag is already up):
- Eejag shouts, "What imbecile dares challenges a Celestial Fist?! Do you even know who you are challenging? HA! You are nothing but an insect! I will enjoy crushing you, I have not charred the flesh of an idiot in decades! If you truly wish to fight me, the battle shall be held in my own element. Come, challenger, come down to the pits of flowing fire."
Head over to the fire pit by the entrances to Sol A and Sol B. Under the middle smoke plume, about half way down, you'll see Eejag (an Iksar) swimming. He cannot be pulled so you'll have to fight him where he is -- in the lava.
Once killed, he drops a Charred Scale.
Gwan
Now head up to the Plane of Sky and find an NPC named "A Presence" on Noble Dojorn's island. It is in the form of a shadowman so only the name is visible.
Hand the Charred Scale over to A Presence and get this response:
- a presence says 'Hahaha! That dolt Eejag fell to the likes of you? I'm not surprised. So, I guess this means you're here to challenge me. Normally, I wouldn't waste my time, but since you've defeated my younger brother, I suppose I'm obligated. I'm ready when you are, tell me when you're [prepared].
The Presence will despawn and a Human monk named Gwan appears in his place. Telling him 'I am prepared' causes him to attack (or do it the old fashioned way by engaging him first).
(NOTE: Gwan procs Fist of Air which can knock you backwards. This can be dangerous if you're too close to the island's edge.)
Once dead, loot the Breath of Gwan and go directly to the Mines of Nurga to find a sleeping ogre. He's KOS so you may have to sneak for the turn-in or have an enchanter charm him.
Trunt
Once you're ready for a fight, hand him the Breath of Gwan to get this response:
- a sleeping ogre says 'Your path of wanton destruction ends here. Gwan and Eejag were impatient and hot-headed. You will not defeat me, for I have the patience and perseverance of stone, unlike the children you have beaten before me. Are you sure you want to challenge me?
He won't give you a chance to respond. Trunt, a 59th level KOS ogre will immediately spawn and attack. He is immune to magic and a tougher fight than the previous ones.
He drops Trunt's Head.
Deep
Take the head to Lake Rathetear and find a 58th level dark elf named Deep who lives in the lake. Hand Trunt's Head to her to get the following:
- Deep slowly opens her eyes and looks up at you. She stares at you a long while and then closes her eyes and lowers her head again, saying, 'Very well, if you wish death so greatly, we will be happy to oblige. My master projects part of himself in the wilder lands known as the Overthere. He has granted you an audience. Find him and show him the head of our earth brother. At that point, we will discuss how we will end your life.
Deep despawns immediately and you get the Head of Trunt back.
Head to the Overthere, and find Astral Projection (Overthere) in the bottom of the scorpion chasm at +3830, -3545 (+700, +800 on P99) He does not need to be fought.
Hand Trunt's Head over and get the following response:
- Astral Projection looks up and down and says, 'Hmmm, I was hoping for something more impressive. This is just a small token of the last person who tried to interfere with my plans. He failed as you shall. But tell me truly, are you the one who has so rudely removed my students?'
You say, 'Yes'
- Astral Projection says 'I assume you have read about us and spoken with the old man, Kaiaren. Since that time, I have grown in power and influence to a point unseen by any mortal. Unfortunately, I will have to demonstrate a small amount of my skill when I destroy you. This is bad. I must decide whether you are worthy to see the techniques I wield, even though you will die shortly thereafter. Tell me, who are you?
You say, 'I am the one'
- Astral Projection chuckles and says, 'That's quite a boast. All beings strive for nothingness at the most basic level of sentience. However, almost none ever achieve this. Not even I have discarded my ego yet and you stand here and tell me you have? Perhaps you will be a worthy opponent. I shall be waiting in the great lake near here. Take that token as proof of things to come for you. If you still wish to throw your life away so needlessly, return it to my image there. I await your decision.'
He will give you an Eye of Kaiaren and then despawn.
The Final Fight
Head to the Lake of Ill Omen for the final fight of the monk epic. You can find Astral Projection (LOIO) at neg1900, neg900 (along the shore of the lake between Windmill and Fronteir Mountains zone).
When you give the Eye of Kaiaren to Astral Projection (LOIO), he despawns. Deep and Vorash will then both spawn, and are very much KOS.
Deep procs Fist of Water, and hits for 170ish. Vorash procs Fist of Mastery, which is a DD and a stun, and hits for around the same as Deep. Both Deep and Vorash have no items.
Once killed, Vorash says:
- 'Foolish mortal! You think you have defeated me? Now, witness the true power of Rallos Zek!
Xenevorash will then spawn on the platform, regardless of where Vorash dies. Xenevorash procs Fist of Sentience which is a 500DD and a stun, and hits for 250.
Once he is killed, his death message is:
- Xenevorash's corpse shouts 'Grraaaagghhhh!! NOT.. POSSIBLE!
He drops Demon Fangs.
Final Turn-in
- Give Celestial Fists (book) to mad Kaiaren (he will be apprehensive) at the ruins in Trakanon's Teeth and he hands you back the book.
- Go to sane Kaiaren, who spawns over by the lake in TT (approx +300, +2400) after you hand in Celestial Fists (book) to mad Kaiaren.
- Hand Celestial Fists (book) ONLY to sane Kaiaren and he hands you back A NEW BOOK, now called Book of Celestial Fists.
- Turn in Book of Celestial Fists and Demon Fangs to sane Kaiaren to receive the monk epic, Celestial Fists.
Finally, head back to Trakanon's Teeth and hand sane Kaiaren (NOT to be confused with mad Kaiaren) the Demon Fangs and Book of Celestial Fists.
- Kaiaren bows his head and breathes a long sigh as if relived of a great weight. He then looks up at you and says, 'I honestly did not believe you could have defeated Vorash. Even though he sought nothing but war and bloodshed, it is a life nonetheless and we must mourn him. I will sew these fangs into magical fist wraps and they shall be yours. Remember Xenevorash. A purpose can be found for every situation and individual. To achieve perfection is to perceive this truth.'
