Walkthrough

Miadera Shadowfyre can be found in the Tabernacle of Terror in Paineel at (1130, 535).

You say, 'Hail, Miadera Shadowfyre'

Miadera Shadowfyre says, 'Ahhhahahaha! The terror that lays over this city like a blanket tingles my bones with vigor. I seek a fellow apostle of Cazic-Thule to assist me in the [summoning of Terror].'

You say, 'What is required for the summoning of Terror?'

Miadera Shadowfyre says, 'It will be a frightfully fulfilling summons. Alas there are a few components I need before we may proceed. I would be most thrilled if you would bring me an eye of urd, some basalt drake scales, the lens of Lord Soptyver, and a lock of widowmistress hair.'

Some details on each:

• Eye of Urd - Easiest item to get, as long as you are of sufficient level to group in Lower Guk. You will have the opportunity to pull Urd Wizards from just about every camp in the zone. Not a common drop, but since you'll be there doing the XP grind or hoping for Guk Loot to drop, its palatable.

• Basalt Drake Scales - VERY annoying. Went there at 40, so no xp. Took five hours to get one to drop. Basalt Drakes are the rarest of the Drake spawns, and it took five Basalts before one coughed up a scale. They spawn on the hillside near Zazamoukh the Sphynx. Beware, because he did aggro me once when I got too zealous in chasing down a Drake. Kill all the drakes you see to get Basalts to spawn.

• Lens of Lord Soptyvr - Soptyver is a 4 hour spawn and the lens is rare (much rarer than live where it dropped almost every time if not 100%). It wasn't terrible at level 30, because killing the EEs and lesser Lords is reasonable entertaining, about half provided at least some XP for me, and you can hopefully pick up a PBB or two. Word of warning, when Lord Soptyver spawns, ALL THREE Lords spawn together, regardless of how the spawn has been broken up before that. Soptyver cons even to level 30, and the three Lords together killed me and the few other EE campers that were there (mid/upper thirties).

• Widowmistress Hair - Also terribly annoying. I just did her at 40. Everything in Najena is green then, so no xp off anything but the Widowmistress, but there is no way you can solo her, you need a Tank. I spent SIX hours on her, the SIXTH Widowmistress spawn finally dropped hair, and I had to wait through FIVE PHs.

Upon turning these 4 items in to Miadera:

Miadera Shadowfyre says, 'Yes! Can you feel the terror in the air, prickling your flesh, and standing your hair on end? The chanters have summoned the avatar of Terror! Quickly take this mundane mask to him and he shall forge it into a valuable symbol to be worn by loyal apostles of Terror!'

• Your faction standing with Heretics got better.
• Your faction standing with Deepwater Knights got worse.
• Your faction standing with Gate Callers got worse.
• Your faction standing with Craftkeepers got worse.
• Your faction standing with Crimson Hands got worse.

Take the Mundane Mask into the next room behind you (east) and hand it to an Avatar of Terror.

You say, 'Hail, Avatar of Terror'

Avatar of Terror says, 'I haven't much time mortal. Do you bring Terror?'

Avatar of Terror says, 'I grant you a mask crafted with my own essence! Wear it in honor of your devotion to our Lord Cazic Thule!'
