Walkthrough

This quest is for the 49th level Shadowknight spell Life Leech.

It begins with Kazzel D`Leryt in the Mountains of Rathe (roams around -634, -1561 from #24 on map to hill between #22 and #23), w̶h̶o̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶s̶p̶e̶a̶k̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶u̶n̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶s̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶v̶e̶l̶ ̶5̶0̶. Confirmed that you can do the entire quest at level 49 and that Kazzel will respond to hails at level 49 as of 2/22/2022.

He tells players to give him 2,000pp in exchange for an Uncut Hyacinth to be etched by a gnome shopkeeper named Darfumpel Zirubbel (also in the Mountains of Rathe (4093, 896) #5 on map). He tells you the gnome does not like the necromantic arts, so you will have to conceal your identity when dealing with him. Darfumppel appears to be indifferent to good and evil characters. There are some good guards nearby, but they are green to a level 50. Karam Dragonforge gives out the dragonscale armor quests and may be in the same hut, but he is a vendor, so will not aggro unless provoked.

Kazzel tells you to bring back:

Faceted Hyacinth.

"A gold necklace like the purest snow" (the White Gold Necklace from a A froglok noble in Lower Guk).

"An orb of the purest crystal" (the Crystalline Orb from a stone spider in Nagafen's Lair).

"The blood of Xenyari Lisariel the druid." He tells you that the blood must be voluntarily given by Xenyari Lisariel, so killing her will not suffice. Xenyari Lisariel can be found at the druid ring (5298, 1765). She roams around the mesa the unkempt druid ring is on, and stops where Tabien the Goodly spawns (6350, 1500).

To get a Faceted Hyacinth (MAGIC ITEM, is tradeable) start by giving 2000p to Kazzel D`Leryt to receive an Uncut Hyacinth (MAGIC ITEM, is tradeable) and then give this, along with 1,000pp to Darfumpel Zirubbel to receive the Faceted Hyacinth.

drops off of an icy terror, one of Lady Vox's guardians. Be careful and place it deep in your inventory or you might eat it before you return it. As you hand in the pear:

Xenyari Lisariel says, "Prickly Pears! I just love Prickly Pears!! Thank you so much for getting these for me. I really, really appreciate your gift and I shall not OWW!! I hate when I stick myself with the needles. Oh look, I am bleeding now. Sigh. Can you hold this note for a moment please? My hands are full and I must clean up."

You receive a Bloodied Piece of Parchment.

Take the Hyacinth, parchment, necklace, and orb to Kazzel. In exchange, he gives you a Faceted Hyacinth Telesm.

Take this item to Xenyari. Upon receiving this, she will be struck dead and the Faceted Hyacinth Telesm will be changed into a Pulsating Hyacinth Telesm.

Take the Pulsating Hyacinth Telesm to Kazzel. On handing it in, a level 53 zombie called "monstrous zombie" spawns and attacks. Kill it, loot a Monstrous Zombie Heart, and give it to Kazzel to receive your spell Spell: Life Leech.
