The Broken Glacier
A rather quaint establishment with plenty to offer, this tavern and inn is kept warm and cozy by the hearty flame of a large stone furnace. It’s a welcoming sight to any visitor fresh out of the cold, located conveniently just through the front gates of Thurgadin. With three levels of floor space, the front door enters into a lobby area on the middle level. It houses the front desk as well as a nice seating area of plush red chairs heated by the furnace, which also runs all three levels. The innkeep Tobart Dirkins sells brewing ingredients and a small selection of gemstones, and if you speak to him kindly he'll even hand over a The Broken Glacier Souvenir Mug for only 1pp!
Upstairs you can rent one of the rooms for the night if your legs are weary, or head on down into the basement with your new mug in hand to find a full service bar. Tended by the Bottlenip brothers, you'll find the widest selection of brews and spirits offered here than anywhere else in the city hands down. You'll find most mainland staples, and all but a few of the Velious exclusives including: Coldain Ice Beer, Dain's Choice Porter, Dire Wolf Pale Ale, Doogle's Spiced Rum, Kromrif Spit Vodka, Bleeding Kromzek, Melted Glacier Whiskey, and last but not least Winter Falls Wine.
