That's ok! Many of Project 1999's users don't have their old Everquest Titanium discs. Please read Acquiring The EverQuest Client.

Does Your (Installed) Software Work?

No, Even Though I Installed the Official Patch

Unfortunately the software was designed to connect to the SOE's servers, not Project 1999's, and if you patch through the official system the Project 199 patch won't work. Luckily this is easy to fix: you just have to uninstall EverQuest and re-install it, without installing the official patch this time. See the Everquest Titanium Installation Guide for help.

No, I Haven't Installed Any Patches

To make Project 1999 you need to download the latest patch file from [www.project1999.com], unzip it, and then copy all of the files from it to your EverQuest folder.

No, and I Have Only Installed the Project 1999 Patch

Do You See an Error of "You cannot attach a debugger while playing Project 1999"?

Yes

Your anti-virus software is likely interfering with Project 1999's anti-cheat code. Disable your anti-virus program or add an exception for Project 1999 to it.

No

At this point you should be able to login to Project 1999, assuming you created an account (see [www.project1999.com] for details). If things still aren't working you likely have an operating system or hardware issue.

Someday this guide aims to tackle all of these issues, but for now please see the Technical Discussion Forum.
