Talk:Eldrig the Old
Confirmed Eldrig Pathing Information:
Okay I followed Eldrig for about 20-25 minutes plotting all of his stops and they were as follows:
1) (-2720, 1020)-N of the wizard portal at the base of the volcano. --> he proceeded to move NW from that point
2) (-1100, 3000)- He paused momentarily and then proceeded to move N/NE
3) (330, 2550)- paused and proceeded to move W
4) (-200, 4000)- paused (this location I believe was on the West Wall beside the fire river that comes from the dragons mouth) and proceeded to move SE
5) (-1430, 2665)- paused and moved SE
6) (-1700, 2075)- paused and moved N
7) (320, 2550)- paused and moved SE/S
8 ) (-2225, 1080) paused at the top of the volcano on the rim and then moved S back to (-2720, 1020)
At which point he was pulled in a train, and I died trying to peel him off the train.
When I zoned back in I saw him South of the Wizard portal along the same longitude as (-1720, 1020)
So I believe that there may be another little leg of his pathing after he stops at the "starting point", however, I am sure that if you sit at any of those locations and wait for a roamer to pause there, thats probably his PH
Removing this note to the talk page because it's not correct. Today 12/3/23 I stood at the loc, a mob DID come from directly south, but it was not the PH. The correct mob came by twice in about an hour; the first time it came from the southwest, and the next time it came from directly south. I think this approximately matches the coords above. So the correct mob CAN come from the southwest, and coming from directly south does not guarantee it is the PH.
[NOTE: (60 Druid, 7/4/23) out of the two that stop here, if the mob paths from SW it is NOT the PH, the correct mob that stops at loc 330, 2550 will come from directly south, behind the skeleton landmark, and stop for a moment. That one has been confirmed as PH 4 times.]
Not enough room for the locs on the page

Where did you obtain this information on his spawn? Are these P99 specific values? Are these locations on spawn LOC or your location when you aggroed? The information I have on his spawn are from:
http://web.archive.org/web/20010606204950/http://www.eqdiva.com/guides/hunting.asp
http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=5171
Both say his spawn should be p500, n4000 prior to the 2006 patch that changed spawns in Skyfire.

Was just Rhavin's scripting tool... if its one or two specific locs go ahead and update the locs... I've just been trying to get pages made so others can put in specific information to p99... there will be some growing pains while everything gets converted to p99 specific info.. but once its set will be a great utility. Faerie of Dismay spawned at N3596, P948. All named should be on the same cycle.

Spawn @ p500, n4000 (North of OT zone line).
I found him pathing around the Graveyard and North:
pause @ p331, p2552
path SE
pause @ n428, p1687
path S
pause @ n2488, p1697
path W
pause @ n2601, p2084
path SE
pause @ n3262, p969
path NW
pause @ n484, p3176
path S
pause @ n2213, p2222
path SE
pause @ n2721, p1012
pause @ n3438, p1236
path NW
After this I highsunned him to find out where he spawns, and it was over by the OT zoneline. After highsunning to determine his spawn location, I zoned off additional aggro that added with him. As soon as I zoned into SF again I always found him pathing Westward towards the lava lake from his spawn point. I intercepted him twice in this fashion at the bend in the Eastward lava river at approximately n900, n1500.

The information Falkun supplies regarding pathing and spawn is spot on - thanks for taking the time to post.
There are two sets of locs here that conflict. According to the revision history, Falkun added both sets although the one closer to the bottom is more recent. Perhaps Falkun could clarify, and if the locs are found to be accurate could be added to the main page? I've been standing at -3274, +963 for awhile now (maybe half an hour) and no chronodracs have stopped here.
Were you standing near or right on top of him to get these locs?

After a couple of hours camping, I'm convinced either the locs are not correct OR the placeholder does not follow the same path. It could mean any chronodrac is a potential PH?

I provided both spawn lists after tracking Eldrig. Both sets of LOCs are as accurate as possible (standing under Eldrig). I believe they are both still valid LOCs, but both are also different spawns of Eldrig. The first set was before I had Highsun (sub-56), so I could not Highsun Eldrig to determine his spawn location. The second one I Highsunned Eldrig a few times after following him for a while to determine his spawn. I doubt these LOCs are exhaustive, and I do not have any idea what spawn cycle he's on and what PHs he has. I've always found him on random run-throughs or on tips from other trackers/players in the zone. Hopefully that answers your questions.

I can confirm that Eldrig the Old can spawn at +1780, -3840, as per the ala discussion: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=5171
All ph's conned light blue to me at 59-60, whereas Eldrig was dark blue. Spawn timer is 13m or so. I used a combination of highsun, and immediately bind sighting mobs to see if they spawned in the 2 spawn points north of OT, or during night hours I would sit on some of the stop locations of pathing listed above and kill any mobs that stopped on me. This was usually a ph, but not always.
I second Eldrig's spawn point at +1780, -3840 and I think the other one is accurate as well. One important thing is that the PHs aren't just chromodracs, they can be anything. Also, I think the pathing points are fixed, but which one he goes to is random. There's a pathing point near the big lack where the mob density is much lower. Hang out here and kill/highsun mobs until you make one of the two east wall spawn points pop. Then it's just a single mob, 13 minute camp. I killed 14 placeholders before Eldrig spawned.
