Note - these are not 100% spawns. "a greater skeleton" spawns at least 50% of the time in each of the gargoyle spots. The gargoyles are possibly level 17-19 (they hit for 36-40 max, but a 40-max-hit gargoyle conned blue at level 20). Fairly resistant. 6 spawns on the island. The gargoyles will kill the skeletons (which are low teens levels) when their paths cross, meaning if the island is left alone for a while it will eventually end up ALL gargoyles. 40% or so drop on gargoyle eyes (9pp vendor). Occasional research word drops. Several gp drop per kill.

The gargoyles are very nice experience and quite nice loot for the level... when they are respawning. However it is all to common that you'll see 4-6 skeletons respawn in a wave, leaving you spending time getting no experience and no loot clearing the skeletons and then waiting for another set of respawns.

The camp is great for: people who don't mind a slow pace, for less-powerful soloers (hybrids, a druid without a charm, etc), or for a solid small group at level 16 or so who will also get experience for the skeletons while still being able to handle the gargoyles. But for a necro, magi, or charming enchanter, there aren't enough gargoyles to keep the exp and loot flowing, especially once you get up to 22-23 when the kills are easier and quicker.
