ShowEQ

ShowEQ was a highly-banned third-party "cheat" program which allowed players on live to see all of the information the EverQuest client could see. This included a great deal of information that players wouldn't normally have, such as the exact amount of XP each mob gave, or whether a particular mob was up and if so where exactly and what it was wielding.

ShowEQ allowed players to learn a great deal about the mechanics of the game, and that knowledge was instrumental in creating Project 1999. However, that program has been banned here (and the ban is enforced by P99 software).

In addition the ZEMs (Zone Experience Modifiers) on Project 1999 have been changed from live. This is because, thanks to ShowEQ, the live ZEMs are now well known, but of course the (non-cheating) players on live never knew what the exact ZEMs were, and the staff wanted a similar experience here.
