Walkthrough

Somewhere in the Ocean of Tears there is an undead island (rough loc of -604.96, -7343.81). The island is populated by a few greater skeletons, gargoyles who kill the skeletons, and four specters at the top. This is where the female paladin named Sentry Xyrin is triggered to spawn by speaking to Styria Fearnon. Xyrin mentions that she was part of a [boat disaster] and that she is from the Temple of Marr in Freeport. She will ask you to get her a Potion of Marr from Serna Tasknon is the Temple of Marr in Freeport. With the potion she will be able to regain her strength and take on the undead. (You can also initiate this quest by first speaking to someone in the Temple of Marr, getting the potion, and from that point on learning of Sentry Xyrin's location and going to look for her, which is actually the way most people would discover the quest). You have to get the bottle from the Temple of Marr and then bring the bottle to all the sentries in alphabetical order. You must refill the bottle after giving it to WARREN. The sentries order is as follows:

• Sentry Andlin (Walks around outside wall);
• Sentry Boris (Downstairs stationary);
• Sentry Gallius (Outside by front door);
• Sentry Janeal (Downstairs stationary);
• Sentry Meighan (Outside by front door);
• Sentry Theo (Patrols inside on upper levels);
• Sentry Warren (Patrols inside on lower levels);
• Serna Tasknon (Top level, you must refill the bottle after WARREN);
• Sentry Xyrin (Final sentry in OoT).

It seems that if your faction is not high enough you can't get the bottle. When you give it to the last person in the guild hall Serna Tasknon she will tell you that Xyrin went to the Sisterhood of Erolisi.

Head to the Sister's Island in the Ocean of Tears and find the small hut to the right with Styria Fearnon and say "Where is Sentry Xyrin?". Styria Fearnon will realize that Sentry Xyrin must have shipwrecked on a nearby island and ask you to find her. This will trigger Sentry Xyrin to spawn on the East coast of the Undead Island on top of a small ridge. Be aware that she will fight Gargoyles and Skeletons during her stay. She is slightly higher level than the Gargoyles but two at the same time can likely slay her. She does not cast root but she will heal herself.

Go to the undead island and give the bottle to her. She will give the potion back to you to take back to the temple. Don't leave yet it's just beginning. After getting the potion, she will feel invigorated and decide march up to the spectres on the island and fight everything in her path. If you don't help, they will wipe her out. If you can keep her alive for 6 minutes regardless of who (Player or NPC) she has agro on, or where she is taken, she will leave and will drop the

There are a few ways to easily do the defense of Sentry Xyrin part, some doable at any level.
1. Kite Sentry Xyrin yourself for 6 minutes. Take her away over the water to the Oracle island or the Sister island all while avoiding adds. Smaller circles with SOW works best.
2. CC Sentry Xyrin with Root/Mez for 6 minutes away from Gargoyles.
3. Try to hail lock Sentry Xyrin for 6 minutes. You will probably die to Gargoyles/Skeletons with this method.

Dialogue

This quest formally starts in Ocean of Tears at undead island (rough loc of -604.96, -7343.81), though you may skip this first dialogue. If Sentry Xyrin is not up already, you may need to spawn her by finding Styria Fearnon on sisters island and saying "Where is Sentry Xyrin".

You say, 'Hail, Sentry Xyrin'

Sentry Xyrin says, 'Shhhh! Keep quiet! Can you not tell this island is inhabited by undead? I wish to take the fight to them, but I am weak from the [boat disaster].'

You say, 'What boat disaster?'

Sentry Xyrin says, 'I was returning to my temple in Freeport in a small boat when the storm hit. I soon found myself shipwrecked on this evil island of undead. The words of Marr tell me to destroy these beings, but I am far too weak. If I only had a sip of the [Potion of Marr].'

You say, 'What is a Potion of Marr?'

Sentry Xyrin says, 'The Potion of Marr was created for the Sentries of Passion. It makes us alert and energetic. It will work only on sentries such as myself. It is distributed by Serna Tasknon of the Temple of Marr in Freeport.'

Now head to North Freeport (if you weren't already there). Find Serna Tasknon at the top of the Temple of Marr.

You say, 'Hail, Serna Tasknon'

Serna Tasknon says, 'It is a good thing to see new faces visiting our temple. We are the source of strength within this city. Do not be fooled by the Freeport Militia. They are not warriors of valor. [Join the fight against the Freeport Militia].'

You say, 'I will join the fight against the Freeport Militia'

Serna Tasknon says, 'You are wise. If you are a paladin, either speak with Theron of this temple or visit the Hall of Truth here in North Freeport. Clerics should concentrate on keeping the knights strong and healthy. Would you care to [assist the Temple of Marr]?'

You say, 'I will assist the Temple of Marr'

Serna Tasknon says, 'Good. Take this Potion of Marr to the Sentries of Passion. They are the protectors of this temple. Start in alphabetical order and the first shall take but a sip then you shall take it to the next in order of the alphabet. There are but eight sentries. Sentry Andlin to Sentry Xyrin. Go.'

As instructed, you will now hand the Potion of Marr to each Sentry in alphabetical order.

Sentry Andlin says, 'Greetings! I would love to converse with you, but as you can see, I am standing my watch.' Sentry Andlin says, 'My thanks to you. I feel much strength. You may take the bottle to the next sentry.'
