In 2022, designer Brian Canary confirmed that this character was his favorite creation. It referenced the Frog Prince (Brother's Grimm), Kermit the Frog from The Muppets (an American children's puppet franchise appearing on Seseme Street and other media) and Keroppi from Hello Kitty (a Japanese children's cartoon franchise).
