[edit] Backstory

Hail, and well met Adventurers.

I am Aegnarion, of Ayr`Dal. Yes that's correct I am Half Elf. I wonder... does that mean if a Half Elf has a baby with another Half elf that the offspring is a Quarter Elf? Anyway that is probably enough of that, allow me to introduce myself, I am Aegnarion of Ayr`Dal. My parents were of the Human and Wood Elf race.. whom I now do not know of their existence. A Half Elf is not very welcome in many parts of the lands and I too was shunned out like the majority of my brethren.

Although I grew up through a tough childhood, where along the way I dabbled in the arts of thievery and occasionally the musical world (There is only so much rotten tomato one guy can take) I quickly jumped back on the straight and narrow. We Half Elf are not famous for our Chivalry or Nobility, but I was determined to prove my worth by worshipping Mithaniel Marr and purging the lands of the undead that rise each and every waking moment. I am an outcast, so I want to stand out in the crowd. I chose the path of a Paladin.

In battle I lost my good friend Zevarius at a young age. He was a budding young paladin who too, showed great promise. It was from that day I decided to take Mithaniel Marr seriously and avenge his death by taking on the forces of evil that stripped my friend of the path that lie ahead of him. I found a flyer on the floor blowing past in the Oasis of Marr. I picked it up and brushed the sand off of the scroll. It read to me that the Hall of Truth were recruiting young promising fighters to follow the ways of Mithaniel Marr and quickly dispatch of the plagues of this land. I set off into North Freeport where I finally found a soldier outside of the Hall of Truth. At first he wouldn't let me in, but after showing him the flyer he let me pass. Upon climbing the stairs and walking to the back of the temple, I found Valeron Dushire. Upon handing him the note he glared at me, he did not believe I had it in me to become a Paladin, so he handed me a Purple shirt and tasked me to dispatch of several rats, bats and skeletons outside in the West Freeport Plains. I quickly set off and made camp outside for the night, where I found a kind gnome who offered me a bed for the night. In the dawn of the day I set off back to Valeron Dushire after gaining a whole bunch of field experience. He was impressed with me, although he may not like to admit himself.. and it was on this day after I handed in 20 bone chips, I was finally accepted as a Paladin in the North Freeport Hall of Truth.

[edit] My First Adventure as a Holy Warrior

In the eve of a day in the East Commonlands, I was wandering along slaying several creatures that have a habit to attack travelers and passerbys. Amongst these creatures were black bears, pumas and skeletons here and there. Unfortunatly my labour did not produce anything fruitiful in the way of high quality pelts, only the best required by tailors in seek of making packs to ease the burden of traveling with treasure from the deepest of caves in Antonica.

As I was preparing for camp along strolled a man of the grove. Yes a Feir'Dal in Antonica, I was shocked to see such a figure infront of me. 'Well met young Adventurer' he greeted me with a short smile. After recouping some of his mana he proceeded to bless me with gifts from Tunare. 'I am Thornymofo, it's a pleasure to meet you.' We discussed the career paths we both had devouted our lives to and departed separate ways.

I continued to experience, fighting all different kinds of creatures in hope that I could one day be strong enough to be deployed to the Estate of Unrest and help tame the wild and dark creatures that lurk in the shadows of the basement. It was then I recieved a messenger from Thornymofo asking me to retrieve him 5 piles of batwings from a merchant in the far West of the East commonlands. I quickly dusted off my running boots, lacing them up in preparation for my travels. Once I got to the hut that the merchant resided in and after discussing the corruption and recent drama that happened in East Freeport the merchant parted with some wings for a few coin.

When I arrived in West Freeport Thornymofo proceeded to bind me on the spot as a safe haven should I fall in combat and in return for the batwings placed in my palm several platinum pieces, also 20 bottles of fuzzlecrank formula 5000. We each sipped the light cool refreshing drink as the sun began to set. He then noticed the scraps of cloth that cover my back. After a short trip to the bank he had me outfitted in real paladin gear! Some bronze and a magical necklace that granted me some extra hitpoints.

Tonight, I made a real friend... A fellow adventurer, who showed me that good will comes to all men and he restored my faith in the elvish community.

[edit] Patrol in Qeynos Hills

Pull up a stool and sit beside me as we warm our feet infront of the fire. Here, take this tumpy tonic.. Fresh from the mountains of Butcher Block. Sip on it as we share tales of times that have long passed, tales that we know of our ancestors.

-Takes a gulp-

As a young Half Elf, me and my good friend Zevarius was in the area of Qeynos. At the time we was probably around the age of 40, still quite young as you can imagine! We was on patrol in Qeynos Hills when we stumbled upon a gnome. She was a funny looking creature and she chanted all kinds of crazy things from a distance.. As we approached her she turn in horror. She lept at us, knocking the blade from Zev's hand, as he tumble down the hill trying to clutch at his sword. Quickly realising the situation had got worse I picked the pint sized being up and threw her into a minion she had summoned in the heat of battle. The bones rattled as the skeleton fell and from behind me Zev came leaping out and put metal to flesh. The gnome was wounded and as she pulled out a stone that was glowing bright under the starry night lit sky she vanished into thin air.

A strong vapourised smell rushed through my nostrils, each breath I take the stronger the stench became. I woke up several hours past and Zev and me were in a dug out log with a bed of straw beneath us to lay our bodies on. We was in surefall glade, a chap had found us who was tracking a bear which had escaped from surefall glade undergoing a healing ritual was now rabid, grizzly and lose in the Qeynos Hills.

But alas adventurer, that is a tale for another time.

[edit] SoulFire

My quest for the almighty SoulFire continues. When Sir Lucan found out about this blade it was bad news. Luckily in the nick of time, a band of mighty heroes prevented him from claiming the blade and having even more power over Freeport.

My Paladin testimony was long over due, the time to prove myself was now. For years I have been training under the Hall of Truth yet to prove myself. The person in charge of setting my testimony was Merko Quetalis. He told me that a lone trader Altunic Jartin had a problem that needing tending to. I set off on my travels and by the time I'd arrived to the Commonlands it was nightfall. Pulling a tinderbox and a torch from my rucksack I lit my torch. This fended off many of the dangerous creatures of the nocturnal realm, the light blinding their eyes.

After what could have been an hours walking I finally found the lone trader, he was pacing up and down outside of the hut. As I approached him, I passed the letter I was told to deliver upon meeting the gentleman. He let out a big sigh and with that he turned his back to walk into his hut. From the shadows a figure appeared, it was only at that moment I recognised who this figure was. Squire Narl, a human rogue. There was a wanted poster for him in North Freeport. It was said that a week prior to the time when I saw him he ransacked a Paladin on his way home from guard duties in North Freeport. The Paladin was stripped of his armor, coins and even as far as a few trinkets one a lock of the Paladins daughters hair. He was left in a back alley inbetween the buildings in the Freeport Market area. His head completely removed from the torso, the surrounding area covered in blood splats and a pool of congealed blood. I drew my sword from the sheath and charged at the rogue, caught by surprise he did not get to his blade in time and felt the full wrath of Obsidian Scimitar. The merchant turned around in fright of the sound of battle and dropped to his knees, he was expecting the rogue and he was in some kind of trouble. I severed the head of Squire Narl and handed it to Altunic Jarn. In reply he asked for a medium-sized tunic. An odd request from a gentleman who was just about to be ambushed and dispatched of in the same manner as the Paladin the previous week. Without question I retrieved a medium-sized tunic and returned it to Altunic Jarn within the next day, it was that moment he withdrew a coin shaped item from his pocket. A token of generosity. Hallelujah!! My first part of my testimony complete!

Returning to Merko, flashing him my token of generosity he smiled, then pulled me to one side and explained my next task in a hush voice. To the deserts of North Ro I was dispatched to slay a Giant Tarantula causing grief to a nearby village, from this spider I was expected to retrieve a spider venom sac. I knew I had to get on the case quick, borrowing some journeymen boots from the Paladin storage I set off to North Ro.

From the distance as soon as I had left the lands of Freeport, in the distance I could see a Giant Desert Tarantula. It was attacking a travelling merchant. With another rub of the journeymen boots the magic released from the boots making my feet travel just that extra bit quicker. This time I had taken my axe of the ironback that was a recent bargain of mine that I had managed to haggle down from a Tier`Dal in the East Commonlands Tunnel. Retrieving it from the strap on my back I ran at the spider, swinging the axe high above my head.

The first blow was to its hind leg, I heard a crunch as the axe landed, as I lift for yet another quick swift blow the leg completely detached. The spider turned and hissed as it's poisonous venom hit me in the face, blinding my vision for the time being and causing me great sickness. I was not going to allow a spider to defeat me and as I rolled to the side the spider followed me. As it face forward with a mighty swing of my axe I caught the spider right in the eyes. The creature was blinded and now was my chance, I lept upon the Giant spider and with my bear hands tore it apart piece by piece until with the final cut of my axe, had freed the spider venom sac.

I fell off the carcass of the tarantula and lay on the floor next to it, looking into the bright sun high in the sky. The sun was blocked from my vision as a nearby merchant lent over me and offered me an antidote. The poison took an hour to heal from my system and within two hours I was up and prepared to make the journey back to the Hall of Truth. The villagers thanked me several times, offered me a hot meal and even a bed for the night but I kindly refused determined to complete my testimony as quickly as possible. With a final rub of the journeyman boots I set off back to the Hall of Truth.

Upon arrival Merko saw I was weak but did not care for the matter he had at hand could not wait, upon giving him my token of bravery he handed me my testimony. Then he proceeded to discuss urgent matters in the Lesser Faydark. A castle had been discovered nearby with great evil harboring within, a troll shadowknight named Xicotl. Transport had been arranged so this matter could be dealt with as quickly as possible, it was then I noticed the pint sized gentleman standing just next to Merko. A druid of the vale, Urbanzkopf had arrived to cast a circle to take me to the mountains of Steamfont. He wasted no time, within seconds a circle was stable and we was taken from one part of the land to the next.

Casting the Spirit of Wolf, Skin like Nature and other gifts from Mother Tunare herself we set off in a hurry to reach Castle Mistmoore. Upon arrival the battle was already at large. Several Faydark Champions were battling the rising horde of Dark Elves around the entrance pond. The battle started to create a parting in the middle, the biggest, ugliest and smelliest troll in the shiniest plate armor come charging out chasing an Iksar chap named Dreymon of Bregan D`Aerth. He fell to the ground in an attempt to confuse the troll but he just continued to slash away at the 'corpse'. Dreymon was quick to his feet, tail whipping, raking and punching his foe. Urbanzkopf began to cast a mighty fire, that the druids know as starfire smiting the troll. I cast yaulp and ran into the fight for assistance. My Obsidian Scimitar cut through his plate armor as if it was a chunk of the finest mature cheese, it's magical abilities glowing within my sweaty palm. A final blow to the head from Dreymon fell this evil and as he dropped to the floor, I was quick to prise the glowing hilt from his hands.

That day marked the start of a new beginning, as the trail for SoulFire fell dead, with the discovery of the glowing hilt.. I was quickly set back on track with what I must accomplish to recreate this magical blade.

[edit] The Fall of Sir Lucan D`Lere

4 brave adventurers on Sunday, August 08, 3101 - 11pm finally freed the chains of evil and corruption that Freeport bared. They were from many walks of life all with the same goal. Kaludar - 53rd Circle, Mystic. A brave barbarian prepared to risk his life for the good of this land. Ramblin - 60th Grade, Grandmaster. A mighty and powerful Iksar who aided the battle in the hope to one day make these parts of the land safer to travel once this story breaks loose. Vianna - 60th Year, High Priestess. A noble High Elf, Holy Priestess who shares the same goals of the Paladin guild, to cure this land from the sickness and curse it bares. Vlasic - 47th Circle, Shaman. A strong and surprisingly rather intelligent Ogre who aided the battle with his 'Majik' to keep many forces at bay as the fight was in full force.

It was a warm, calm evening in East Commonlands Tunnel. Little did Sir Lucan Dlere know it would be his last evening of reigning evil upon the large city known as Freeport. As 4 Adventurers prepared for a long battle, Sir Lucan was busy recruiting more mercenaries for his Militia. Once the band of adventurers, soon to become heroes of these lands, were prepared they set off with one thing in mind only. To free the Civilians of Freeport. Upon approaching the gate Vlasic, Ramblin and Kaludar were cautious. They could see a threatening glare from the Militia guarding the front arch.

Once the plan was decided Ramblin charged into the enemy lines, blasting the door open to the Freeport Militia House, "founded on sweat & steel" which Sir Lucan resides in with a fly kick. Upon entering, with a quick *sniff* he picked up the scent of Sir Lucan. Upon reaching the door which he was behind, Ramblin used the skill taught to him by Master Raska. He steadied his heartbeat and fell to the ground. The Militia laughed as they returned back to their duties with one arranging for the corpse to be disposed of. In quick time, Ramblin crept back up bust the door open, quickly turning on his heels he ran outside and performed the same trick not too far from the arch, but to the right near an abandoned camp outside of the arch view. Sir Lucan decided to make sure he did the job correctly and Ramblin took a blow, as the guards on duty turned their back up like shot.. Ramblin had his fist in Lucans lower back. The other guards were unaware, creating such a noise in the distance of laughter.

The battle begun and Brother Jentry had come running out of the gates to assist. Vlasic, quick witted as he is was fast off the mark and had him entangled in roots, rendering him useless as his master was slain.

Vianna the noble High Elf and Kaludar the mighty barbarian were on hand to heal the wounds of Ramblin as he was struck blow by blow from Sir Lucan and also slowing the blows thrown by Sir Lucan. The battle was long, hard and tiresome but the heroes had prevailed. Sir Lucan made one final attempt to run from combat like the coward he is, but with a final blow of the fist he fell.

As he fell he screamed that his Testimony of Truth would never be claimed, an undead version began to rise from his corpse. He was not as strong as his original form, even with the assistance of a nearby guard Bonlo. It was of this hour that the final form "Sir Lucan D`Lere" was slain, Freeport freed from the evil chains holding back a City from blossoming. Four Mighty Adventurers became Four Brave Heroes.

As news spread quickly throughout the city, the Militia dispersed, even the toll booth guards in the West Commonlands were nowhere to be seen. Civilians took to the streets in celebration, ale was in abundance and even Ping Fuzzlecutter was giving out free bottle of Fuzzlecutter Formula 5000. The city danced and celebrated for three whole days and nights straight. This tale is one of such epic proportions it has been written in many different languages, in many scriptures and stowed away within crypts to preserve this moment in history for future generations to come.

The quest for SoulFire is coming close to an end, these lands soon to be purged from the curses and abominations that walk the very ground we know as Norrath.

[edit] The Estate of Unrest

Intro

Centuries ago a noble family, the Quellborns, left Erudin to make a new life in Faydwer. Nicadius, the husband, was a priest of Quellious as well as a musician and composer. He was accompanied by his pregnant wife, Jessa. Tragedy struck on the voyage, and Jessa, ill and near death, delivered a healthy baby girl but died soon after. In his grief and joy, Nicadius named the girl Jessa. They reached Faydwer safely and established their home in the remote southern mountain range of Butcherblock known as Dagnor's Cauldron. The body of Lady Jessa was buried on the grounds, her grave consecrated to Quellious, and a gazebo was later built on the spot. They named their new home The Estate of Rest, establishing it as a place of rest and recovery for those in need of respite from the dangers of the Mountains, and those weary of the world. Jessa grew in peace and beauty, nurtured by her father, the senior servants Hemstall and Ryline, and Quellious. In time she reached maturity, met, was courted by and wed a dwarf of Kaladim, Kyll Rucksif. He loved her greatly, and she him, and soon she was with child. Much happiness was brought to the mansion as servants readied the new nursery in anticipation. In his happiness, Nicadius was composing a lullaby for his first grandchild, but he never got to finish it...

Kyll had a brother, Garanel Rucksif, who hated his brother and coveted his lovely wife. One dark night while Kyll was away from the castle, Garanel came to put an end to them all. Fueled by envy, hatred, and a liberal helping of strong dwarvish spirits, he crept into the mansion and slaughtered everyone. The last to die was Nicadius himself, who had been standing vigil that night in the chapel above the conservatory. Perhaps Nicadius cried out in that final moment, for as the madman struck him down Quellious came, and in Her ire cursed Garanel to forever haunt the scene of his evil, and Garanel dropped dead on the spot.

Someone must have buried the victims behind the mansion, but there were no blessings placed on this cursed ground. Perhaps Garanel drove them off before they could finish. In any event Kyll never made it home, at least in life, but his ghost stands forever in the yard trying to get to Jessa to save her despite his wounds.

Recently, drawn by the dark energies of this haunted mansion, a priest of Fear has come to torture the eternal residents, defiling the chapel and making Fear supreme here. It is unclear if he even knows that Garanel needs little help to twist forever in the evil winds of his own deeds. Deep beneath The Estate of Unrest he waits, and watches...

[edit] The Cleansing of The Estate of Unrest

It had been a long time coming. The Estate lay untouched for many years and the undead were beginning to become quite the problem for those who dare to venture to Dagnor's Cauldron. I had received a message from a young lady who had ran all the way from Freeport. She was hired from the bard guild, banging her drum as she moved her feet to the beat she used the song Selo's Accelerando to aid her travels.

Trissa Whistlesong: Hail, Aegnarion, Knight of Truth.

Aegnarion: Hail, Trissa Whistlesong. What is the reason you travel to meet my presence?

Trissa Whistlesong: I bring a quest from The Hall of Truth, Sir Valeron Dushire hired me to bring this message to you in good time.

Aegnarion: What is this quest you speak of?

Trissa Whistlesong: I have a sealed note for your M'Lord, he requested that you read immediately and do not let any prying eyes see what it's contents are.

Aegnarion: Thankyou M'Lady, I shall send word of your speedy delivery.

*Aegnarion puts his hand deep into his coin purse and retrieves 5 platinum pieces for the bard*

May you have a safe journey back to Freeport, Mithaniel Marr watches over you.

Trissa Whistlesong: Thankyou M'Lord! Most kind!

Trissa Whistlesong set off in the direction of Kaladim at great speed. I looked down at the note, as I broke the seal I pulled the contents out and also out fell a map.

It was a note, it read:

Dear Aegnarion,

I have urgent matters at hand that prevents me from attending the cleansing of The Estate of Unrest. As I will not be there to lead charge, I put you, my most promising Knight as Commander of this quest.

In Dagnor's Cauldron there is a tent with 4 adventurers who often set camp to make trade for travelers, a safe haven at times. A Gnome, Wood Elf, High Elf and a Dwarf. I have arranged for a squad of many different circles of life to aid in this process. There you will find an Erudite named Heccate, Dwarf named Argam, High Elf named Daszle and a Wood Elf named Kuldrae.

Once you meet with them, please find enclosed a small map, a rough drawing of where you may find the location of this forsaken place.

I wish you luck on your mission and I know you will do not only me proud, but The Hall of Truth and most importantly Mithaniel Marr, who will also be guiding you.

Sincere Regards,

Sir Valeron Dushire

Hall of Truth Paladin GuildMaster

Holy Knight of Norrath

I folded the note and map, opening my rucksack I tucked it away.

Upon entering the Dagnor's Cauldron I could feel something in the air, this place was not good. As I venture through the valley I felt unprepared for what lie ahead of me, along the way I stopped by a tree and vomited a couple of times. Perhaps it was them fish rolls I had a few days previous, they were coming to quite an age. As I reached the end of the valley, I saw the sky appear in the crack of the opening at the valley mouth. As far as the eye could see, rocks & water.

As I followed the map given to me to the right I could see as I reach the top of the mountain the camp as described by Sir Valeron Dushire.

I made haste to reach the camp, when I saw everyone described but the Erudite. I felt my eyes tingle, as I gained vision to other planes around me, she was there alright, but she was invisible. I made greetings with each and every member of the squad and within the hour we set off in search of Unrest. As we made our way around the waters edge, we came across much undead which were poor souls who had fallen to this barren, neglected landscape. Scalded rats roam the rocks, but scurried along to their own business.

After what felt like hours, we saw the dark, misty, gloomy entrance that had to be Unrest. Using my SoulFire to lay light to the passage, we moved further down the tunnel until we reached an opening. The place was eerie, there was purple mist that fell gently around the landscape. My vision was limited, but thankfully I had other members in my squad which had much better vision than me.

On the floor the sound of pincers clacking together rung through our ears, death beetles! There was hundreds of them, a whole swarm. Heccate began to cast spells to boil their blood, Daszle chanted to slow the pincers of the beetles while me and Kuldrae swung left to right, right to left, in our trail leaving several corpses. The crack as we hit each of their shells rang out through the tunnels. We was slightly wounded from out combat, with the aid of Argam who cast spells to heal our wounds, we prepared for what lie ahead.

Aegnarion: Here's the plan. Kuldrae I want you to sneak through the entrance doors, upon entering I require you to harmonise all the undead you can see without being spotted. I will enter the building on your say so and open fire on what lies inside and run for the exit. Daszle, you are to mesmerize any additional foes and keep them under until I am ready to blind my next foe. *puts on charming voice* Heccate, stand there and look pretty. *snaps out of it* Argam! Keep us in the fight friend!

*Heccate chuckles at Aegnarion*

Kuldrae: As you wish.

Daszle: On your command!

Argam:... *meditates*

Kuldrae reached out, opening the first door, upon entering a lurking mummy in the nearby corner of the hallway lept to attack, this set off a chain reaction. In under minutes, the door was swarmed by at least six ghouls and two mummies. Daszle was quick to mesmerize the whole pack and they stopped in their tracks as they enter a deep trance. With an arrow shot from one of Faydarks finest bows, Kuldrae broke this on a ghoul as it run towards us I withdrew my Ghoulbane and Shiny Brass Shield. It ran into my blade, smitten by the powerful runes which were embedded to Dismiss Undead and the ghoul let out a loud shriek ringing our ears and disorienting the whole team. Heccate boiled the blood which remained in each and every ghoul as we repeated this process for the whole pack which attacked us.

As we stepped over the remains from combat, we entered the house as a force. From the hall way we heard scream, what we could only assume was tormented souls lurching deep beneath the surface of the house. We proceeded with caution up the main room stair case. We took the left and as we walked down the hall way, a carrion ghoul charged, shrieking at us spitting its foul fluids. Again he was no match for the legendary weapon Ghoulbane, falling to the ground, another ghoul was defeated. There were several attempts from the ghouls to defeat us throughout the house. Each to only meet the same fate. Ghoulbane.

Upon reaching the top floor, we heard cackling. Kuldrae kicked the door open as a festering hag jumped out and cast some kind of gravity spell, as we all flew through the house hitting each and every wall on the way down to the main room again. We all hit the final wall and fell into a heap on the floor. As we got to our feet an undead brewmaster jumped out from the room behind us, waiting for his perfect moment to strike, this was it. We was surely defeated.

From the door way a powerful Erudite stepped in and mesmerized the entire hall ( including us! ) as the spell wore off, we jumped out of the way as he brought round a second wave of the area of effect mesmerize. This was no time to say thankyou, we still had a fight on our hands. Breaking the mes on the brewer we hacked away at him piece by piece until he was just a pile of bone chips, all the while Argam was providing us aid from afar with his clerical healing powers. We then proceeded, with mighty caution to the festering hag. Upon breaking the mesmerization, Kuldrae and I let rip at her with our blades, upon realizing she was resisting the might Ghoulbane I threw it down and reached for SoulFire. With each swing of the blade she grew weaker and weaker, the Erudite who stepped in to help had rooted the hag to the ground while proceeding to weaken her against magic. Heccate was soon to follow suite by casting a powerful spell that tore the festering flesh from the hags decaying bones and with the hags final smite on me she fell to the ground.

Aegnarion: Hail mighty Illusionist. Speak, what is your name?

Devak: Hail, I am Devak of Erudin. I followed your band to this Estate, I have heard rumors that a cleansing was soon to take place and I came along to see what riches I might find here.

Aegnarion: We are not here to steal from the dead, if you so wish to recover items you may do so when we are gone. Thankyou for aiding us in that battle, we was surely not going to make it had you not turned up though.

Devak: It was my pleasure M'Lord. I respect your wishes on this crusade and will act accordingly.

It was at that moment the screams began to ring from the abandoned house, as we each covered our ears the door just on the left of the main room burst open and infront of us was the Evil known as Garanel Rucksif.

He charge straight at me, with a blow to the gut I was winded. Fighting to stay on my feet Kuldrae jumped from a nearby pillar slashing him in the back with his magical weapons.

Heccate was unable to do anything until Devak had again weakened Garanel's magical resistances but upon completion of that began to expulse the undead, beginning an exorcism. Daszle proceeded to blast the undead with pure magic, it was like firework night inside the main room as it lit different shades of red, white and blue. As I finally fought back to my feet I reached for the Ghoulbane. I could feel the power trying to escape from the blade but Garanel was too strong to be damaged by it, in turn I felt my very bones ignite inside. Realising it was too weak I reached for SoulFire. At this point Argam drew attention to himself from the constant aid by healing our wounds and opened fire, from the door way a saviour appeared. Argam was close to dead so I focused my healing and manapool into fully restoring his health, known to Paladins as Lay Hands. The saviour I speak of was not Lay Hands, but Saiv a brave Erudite cleric. He healed the wounds of the damaged dwarf just enough to keep him alive in time for my healing to take full effect on his wounds. Garanel was angry, furious as he thrust forwards to attack me once more.

Heccate was close to no mana, Daszle not far behind. The battle was in full swing and we needed assistance, both Argam and Saiv focused enough mana to join Heccates exorcism and with a final swing of SoulFire, Kuldraes green jade broadsword he was banished from the mansion.

A loud thunder of his voice cry out for assistance and a skeletal monk come rushing to attack the party, having just banished Garanel he was not a match for the fantastic 7 and quickly he was laid to rest. We rushed to the front of the mansion, opening the doors he float nearby the fountains. Garanel was nearly defeated. Legend had it he can not ever be banished from Unrest due to his previous banishment by Quellious to the deep dark depths of the mansion. But SoulFire was famous for absorbing its foes souls after each fight, hence the name. We rushed to attack with all of our might left in us. The exorcism team now split, Heccate cast a lifedraw spell, siphoning the last bit left in his wretched body. Daszle continued to smite with his arsenal of spells and finally the cleric duo lay one last heal on each of our souls before going into a state of meditation. Kuldrae and I continued to swing at his ghostly image and with the mightiest of blows I shouted:

Aegnarion: GARANEL RUCKSIF, JOIN THE SOULS OF A THOUSAND BEINGS TRAPPED IN THE SOULFIRE FOR ETERNITY.

The world around me began to warp. As Garanel let out a cry, a liquid split from his soul leaking onto the floor, as he was absorbed into my blade.

The battle to cleanse Unrest was now over. With the defeat of Garanel the purple mist began to clear, the sky began to grow brighter as the sun shone through the purple mist dispersing into the atmosphere. Roses began to blossom before our very eyes all across the yard. It was a beautiful day in The Estate of Rest.
