Lion

Description

Lions are large cats which prowl the commonlands, plains, deserts and other areas of warm climate. Male adult lions sport manes while female lionesses, pumas / mountain lions, and plains cats lack these manes. The sabertooth variant is found in Kunark while a white-furred snow puma is found in Velious. Lions and other large cats are generally hostile and frequently threaten low level players.

Lore

Barbarians are quite fond of lion meat, and those who hunt them in West Karanas ship the delicacy back home to Halas. The pelts of cats like lions are used to craft medium sized leather armor used by humans, elves, and other medium races.
