Klaknak

The Klaknaks, almost identical to Klicniks, are a eusocial species of beetles, also known as fire beetles, that reside in the fields and hills of Antonica. Klaknaks, unlike the larger beetles on norrath, live in a hive mind of several other Klaknaks that make up their colony. Klaknaks have a diverse caste system which includes Workers, Warriors, Drones, Princes, and Queens. Each type of Klaknaks has a distinct role in their colony. Workers are in charge of gathering food and water for the colony, as well as building nests. Warriors are in charge of protecting the colony and it's Queen. Drones and Princes will mate during the spring, leaving the prince to die and the drone to become a Queen of their own colony someplace else. Queens give birth to new Klaknaks every day until they die. If the queen dies, their colony will eventually die out. Nearby Klaknaks will be swift to protect their queen if they were to be attacked.
