Walkthrough

Note: Quest cannot be completed if KOS as of 2017. Ziglark drops the key too, so you can choose to kill him instead of doing the quest. As of 5/30/2021, if you don't give Wenglawks the 200 platinum he still gives you the Message to Herald. As of 7/2/2021 on Green the 200 plat is required. 7/8/2023 on Green I was able to hand the Message to Wenglawks without the 200 plat and got the Message to Herald.

As of 9/9/21 on Green, Ziglark can be killed for the key; KoS characters can no longer quest it.

Ziglark Whisperwing glowers at you dubiously -- You would probably win this fight..it's not certain though.

Ziglark Whisperwing says 'Greetings, ______, I am the Herald of Lord Yelinak, the great ice dragon. I'm charged with taking care of all mundane tasks that are too trivial for the great dragon.'

You say, 'What mundane trivial tasks'

Ziglark Whisperwing says 'I have many tasks. First, I must make sure all inhabitants of the Skyshrine are looked after, the cleaning cubes are keeping all things neat and orderly and also permit passage through the Skyshrine to those worthy.'

You say, 'I am worthy.'

Ziglark Whisperwing says 'You must first prove this to me before I allow you through our home. Wenglawks of Kael is an acquaintance of ours who has been feeding us information on the storm giants' movements through Velious. Lately our couriers to him have disappeared. What you must do is take this request to him along with 200 platinum as payment for the storm giants' locations and return the information to me. After you complete this task for me, we will discuss passage through the Skyshrine.'

You receive a Message to Wenglawks.

Travel to Kael Drakkel and find Wenglawks Kkeak in the back of the noble's house. Hand the Message to Wenglawks and 200 platinum pieces (no longer optional) to Wenglawks.

Wenglawks Kkeak says 'Here is the information your employer requested. Now be gone. I have more business to take care of.'

You gain experience!!

You receive a Message to Herald. Head back to Skyshrine and give it to Ziglark.

Ziglark Whisperwing says 'I appear to have mistaken your declaration of worth as a phony attempt at bravado, and do apologize. You have truly proven yourself worthy of the shrine, and in short order as well. For your troubles, and as a token of your worth to the shrine, I grant you this key to traverse into the lands of the Cobalt Scar. Praise be with you and good journeys always, _____.'

or alternatively (based on faction) he says:

Ziglark Whisperwing says 'Excellent, you have gotten the information back and you are still in one piece. Perhaps you could be useful to our cause. Here is the key to leave the Skyshrine. Just place it on the flaming pot of the dragon statue, near the center of the pool in he courtyard.'
