Halas Faction Guide

From Project 1999 Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

This guide describes a process that allows you to raise all of your Halas factions from the bare minimum to maximum.

  1. Kill Frostbite in West Karana until you are at least dubious to Rogues of the White Rose. Please note that this will hurt your "Steel Warriors" faction, which takes a long time to fix.
  2. Grab an invisibility and hand in Polar Bear Skins to Cindl (who is a merchant, and thus is always at least dubious, which is the minimum for quest) until you are able to hand in Gnoll Fangs to Lysbith McNaff. Keep an eye out for warriors pathing in front of Cindl's door.
  3. Hand in Gnoll Fangs to Lysbith McNaff until you have good faction with Wolves of the North, Shamen of Justice, Merchants of Halas, and Steel Warriors (Qeynos/Freeport warriors))
  4. Mine vendors or collect many Patches of Gnoll Fur and combine 64 Patches of Gnoll Fur, 4 at a time in a loom, to create 16 Gnoll Fur Patches. Combine those 16 4 at a time to create 4 Gnoll Fur Patch Quarters. Combine those 4 quarters to make a cloak to hand in to Ysanna MacGibbon until you are indifferent to Rogues of the White Rose.
  5. Hand in Mammoth Calf Hides to Cappi McTarnigal until you have good faction with Rogues of the White Rose.

Apollyus Method (Green Server)

  1. Kill Frostbite and Einhorst McMannus in West Karana until you are at least dubious to Rogues of the White Rose (Rogues / Banker). Amiable to have access to all quests. Please note that this will hurt your "Steel Warriors" (Qeynos/Freeport warriors) faction, which takes a long time to fix. Note: Aprox 150+ hours to Amiable with White Rose as an Ogre Shaman.
  2. NO PRIOR FACTION NEEDED: Hand in Polar Bear Skins and Wrath Orc Wristbands to Cindl the merchant for Wolves of the North (Halas Warriors), Shamen of Justice, Merchants of Halas faction. Keep an eye out for warriors pathing in front of Cindl's door.
  3. NO PRIOR FACTION NEEDED: Hand in Gnoll Fangs to Lysbith McNaff until you have good faction with Wolves of the North (Halas Warriors), Shamen of Justice, Merchants of Halas, and Steel Warriors. Have a druid 39+ Share Wolf Form, you can invis to arena, stand beneath the ledge to conceal your character from Lysbith and do you turn ins. You MUST have someone invis you for each turn in while in wolf form so that it makes you indifferent. If you leave the ledge she and all warriors will attack you in wolf form. Note: 400+ fangs to Amiable with Wolves of the North if your faction is bottomed out. Note: Killing enough gnolls to get these fangs will also make you non-kos in Qeynos. You will be able to bank/vender there. Bonus: also look out for Baby Joseph Sayer. He's a large Qeynos faction boost each time you return him to his parents after getting dubious with Qeynos merchants.
  4. Once you have suitable faction with Rogues of the White Rose and Wolves of the North, do the Lion Meat Shipment Quest between Teria O`Danos and Einhorst McMannus. Know that Merchants of Halas receive the least amount of faction per turn in on most quests. I found the Lion Meat Shipment quest to work effectively after reaching Amiable with Rogues and Warriors while the merchants would still not do business with me. Note: After Amiable with Rogues and Warriors, this took me 55 trips before the Halas merchants began selling to me. Bind at Teria and gate after telling Einhorst "Delivery" and the turn in is on your cursor. Note: Look out for A Polar Bear Cub on each trip for additional turn ins of Polar Bear Skins.
