Innothule Swamp
The swamp is organized with Grobb at the southernmost part of the zone, and mobs get progressively higher level as one proceeds northward. Mobs are heavily concentrated on the eastern side of the zone, the western side of the zone can be almost devoid of mobs.
In the region nearest Grobb can be found level 1 snakes, decaying skeletons, froglok tads, and large rats. To earn early money focus on the decaying skeletons and froglok tads. Both drop change, skeletons drop rusty weapons and cloth armor, and froglok tads drop netted armor. The netted gloves, in particular, are magic and might be worth more than the merchant price to a monk.
Running around the same area are level 2-4 mobs that include lesser kobolds and adult frogs. These make for better experience after level 1, and kobolds can drop free boxes for player storage. No NPC merchants are near Grobb in the swamp, so Trolls will have to run into the city to sell. This makes storage particularly important for newbie Trolls.
As one gets higher level generally one will want to start hunting closer to Guk along the eastern edge of the zone. There can be found higher concentrations of higher level frogs, especially froglok fishermen. The two froglok guards immediately outside of Guk can be camped. The area surrounding Guk can be dangerous because of wandering higher level mobs. These include the much feared Spore Guardian and several different human and elf noble hunters like Jyle Windstorm.
Further west and north of Guk can be found still higher level kobold hunters and froglok foragers. These mobs are seldom fought because most players of the appropriate level would instead be fighting in Guk or South Ro. Bull alligators are often hunted in the northern part of the zone by higher level characters searching for their skins for the Leatherfoot Raiders quest. If you find one of these skins keep it to sell to another player.
Dangers
Kobolds and frogs are all KoS to evil and very social. It is easy to end up swamped by lesser kobolds if one is not aware of their surroundings during a fight.
In addition to the Spore Guardian and noble hunters mentioned above that terrorize young trolls near Guk, one should watch out for a nasty level 25 bard named Dark Deathsinger. He is KoS to evils and can be found along the southern zone wall of the swamp just west of Grobb. If heading this way, like on a trip to The Feerrott I strongly advise you stay off the zone wall until you know that you are past Mr. Deathsinger.
Other Zones
The Feerrott: The jungle to the west of Innothule can make for very good hunting, especially around levels 2-4 when the spiderlings there are blue. See the Oggok Starting Guide for more details on fighting there.
Guk: The frog refuge on the eastern side of Innothule is where you want to hunt as soon as you can, because the zone has double the experience of an ordinary zone. The frogs in the front of the dungeon can be hunted starting around level 5. The swampwater crocodiles in Guk make for excellent soloing starting around level 10. Grouping opportunities abound in Guk, you should take advantage of them!
Rathe Mountains: The mountains to the west of Feerrott are an underappreciated place for low level hunting. While the zone is somewhat of a maze, if one hangs an immediate right on entering from Feerrott they will find a plentiful newbie area with abundant decaying skeletons, fire beetles, skeletons, and brown bears. For later levels there are many bears at a hill (Location 3 on the map) near the Lake Rathe zone line. Many different kinds of bear can be found there, supplying newbie trolls and ogres with the bear pelts they need for their large tailored armors, and supplying an almost continuous source of experience from levels 4-20.
Large green scarabs level 7-9 can be found at two pillars in Rathe Mountains. These make for good experience at those awkward levels when newbie zones start to run out of fruitful hunting.
South Ro: North of Innothule we find the southernmost of the desert zones. Here can be found some low level content, including many fire beetles and coyotes. Slightly higher level jackals and tree snakes can be tackled later on. Many orc camps can be found in the southern part of the zone that can be killed in small groups (levels ~6-8) or solo if one is high enough level. Around level 10+ one can start to hunt pumas, tarantulas, and sand scarabs. Generally avoid the sandy part of the zone until your teens.

Suggestions
This is a work in progress and will be fully fleshed out as I progress through the starter areas
1-2 - Just north of the guards killing all froglok tadpoles, large rats, decaying skeletons, water moccasins and fungus spores you come across.
The main goal here is to make enough money to buy a backpack or two before heading out to feerott. Items to keep: Froglok tadpole flesh, a spore mushroom, bone chips, frolok meat. These will be used for turn ins so do not vendor these
2-4 - head over to the zoneline into feerott and fight around the druid rings wandering around killing anything that cons blue or white. The monsters here range from lizardmen, spiders, decaying skeletons, scarabs and wolves.
items to look out for: Lizard meat, lizard tails, bone chips, froglok tadpole flesh, wolf meat, spiderling silk.
