You say, 'I serve Halas.'
- Lysbith McNaff says 'The Wolves o' the North show ye no ill will, but there's much ye must do to earn our trust. Perhaps ye should inquire o' the [gnoll bounty].'
You say, 'What gnoll bounty?'
(Her response may be different depending on your class. As a shaman she did not mention the gnoll bounty but instead mentioned [orc troopers] and [ice goblins]
- Lysbith McNaff says 'I've placed a bounty on the gnolls o' Blackburrow. Their whelps have invaded our land and we must carry the fight into their dens. Join the fight and return three gnoll fangs as proof of yer victory in Blackburrow. Do so, and earn the respect o' the Wolves o' the North.'
Gnoll Fangs are a random drop from any gnoll in Everfrost Peaks or Black burrow. Give her three unstacked.

Experience
40-50 turn ins was sufficient to get a Wood Elf Druid from level 11 to level 14. They gave approximately 9% xp per turn in at level 11, 7% at level 12, and 5% at level 13. Approximately 10 turn ins were sufficient for a level 51 Iksar Monk to get 1%.
(Green Server) Level 10 Barbarian Shaman -> 113 Teeth turning in got me 2.95 Levels so that puts me at 12 with a sliver of exp left before 13. Seems that the turn in is not as good as above.
(Green server, 2022-06-14) Did 100 turn-ins [300 total gnoll fangs] with my level 33 Barbarian Warrior. She went from a fresh 0% level to over four full yellow bubbles of xp. Four full yellows and half a blue, to be precise, as it was very easy to check since Lysbith is a Warrior trainer. So even at 33, the experience gain remains nearly 1% per turn in, which is surprisingly substantial considering the ease of acquiring gnoll fangs at that level. Probably the easiest and safest way to gain experience that a mid-level solo warrior can find.. so long as you don't mind utterly annihilating an entire newbie zone for hours on end! Wolves of the North ended up max ally afterward, and both the Shaman of Justice and Merchants of Halas were kindly.
Turned in 72 fangs at level 16 around 30% into level, and got to 12% into level 17 as a Human Ranger. Roughly 3%-4% per fang turn in. (3/10/2023)
Faction
Based on the numbers at https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225190 and Uthgaard's faction numbers, each turn in gives at least 17 faction with Wolves of the North and at most 2 faction with Merchants of Halas.
MultiQuesting
It is possible to multi-quest this turn in. One person hands in two gnoll fangs and then the person who needs the experience and faction turns in the last one. This is useful when power leveling someone because it allows the lower level character to get 3x as much experience assuming the higher level person is able to get surplus gnoll fangs.
