First to engage

First to engage (FTE) describes a set of rules for raid mobs on Project 1999. Such mobs will shout a special, yellow-colored message to inform everyone who was the first person to gain aggro. No additional FTE messages will be emoted until the mob has his hate list cleared and is engaged again. Unlike regular mobs, the guild or alliance who engaged an FTE mob first has the right to loot it. For more details see [[1]]

If a mob does not have a FTE message, regular camp rules will generally apply.


There is some confusion amidst the community about the term FTE. If someone is following the server rules and actively camping a spawn. Other players may not kill that spawn and tell the person camping it "these are fte". This is a perpetuated confusion that some players have.
