Category:Legacy Items
Legacy items are items that were originally introduced to the game as normal items, but then (because the Verant developers realized that they were overly-powerful, or otherwise game-breaking), they were either changed to no longer drop or "nerfed" (ie. had their power lowered).
On Project 1999, in order to preserve Classic EverQuest, these items are similarly added to new servers (eg. Green, and once many years ago on Blue), and then when the server reaches the equivalent point in the timeline, they are either nerfed or removed. Because of the popularity of these items, on newer servers (ie. Green) the most powerful ones are protected by /list.
