"The rangers whined until this got nerfed. It no longer drops in the game.

The original intent behind it was that it was a side reward during the 9th Coldain ring quest in order to reward the rogue who makes the poison necessary for the 9th ring (which will cost a rogue over 10,000pp to get the skill necessary to make it), and dropped off Peffin. But god forbid a rogue get something useful out of those thousands of plat and hundreds of hours spent levelling the skill up, other than the joy of helping someone else get their ring.

Peffen now drops Talisen, Bow of the Trailblazer instead: Magic/Lore, 25/50, AC3, STR/DEX/STA/SV MAGIC +3, SV POISON +10, HP +10, range 150, WAR/PAL/RNG/SHD/ROG. FAR inferior, tradable, and usable by all archery classes. Makes me sick." - Anonymous, Aug 04 2001
